I'm glad!! I like it when a show is like the original book, it makes me as a fan, feel so much more connected to it :D

Queen of Randomness (AKA Kristen) wrote: "Lesson learnt girls and boys...always wear shoes even at home...wait I need to go find my thongs (or flip flops as some might call them in other countries)"

Thongs??? That's weird...I was pretty sure they were underwear...

message 480: by [deleted user] (new)

In Australia thongs are shoes (I think the Americans call them flip flops or something)

message 481: by [deleted user] (new)

Just to clarify I do not wear underwear on my feet!!!!! xD Hahahaha

message 482: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah I call them flip flops as well. That's really interesting though, I never knew!

message 483: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha lol!!!

message 484: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha yeah we usually have to clarify that they are shoes and NOT underwear when talking to mainly Americans lols...it makes it confusing though bc when we say thongs here in Australia we don't have to double guess ourselves everyone here just knows :)

message 485: by [deleted user] (new)

Ah I see. I wonder how that word ended up having such different meanings!

So, how have you been?

message 486: by [deleted user] (new)

Marietta wrote: "Ah I see. I wonder how that word ended up having such different meanings!

I have no idea....but it sure does make it confusing sometimes :D

I'm okay...had a pretty busy day yesterday...so was nice to have a sorta quiet day today :D
How about yourself???

message 487: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep, it sure does!

I had braces put in yesterday and a tooth taken out. So that hurt. And it's really weird having braces on. I can't really eat much because it hurts when I chew, so yeah...
But on the plus side, I did get into that boarding school! So I'm going! A lot of things have to be settled first though.

Oh wow hope the pain the braces are causing settles for you soon!!!! :(
Ohhh thats a bit exciting!! :D hope everything gets settled easy for you!!

message 489: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, me too :(
Yep! It's really awesome. It's been my dream since I read the Enid Blyton boarding school books when I was 7 or 8 years old.

message 490: by [deleted user] (new)

From all my friends it usually ends pretty quickly! About 2 weeks tops...

Haha I loved those books :)

message 491: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay, that's good to know! Thanks for telling me. I'm super worried about it, since I'm going back to school on Monday (we're on 2 weeks break now because of Chinese new year).

Yeah! But there'll be no 'midnight picnics' in this school! Lol, how often I wished to have those :)

message 492: by [deleted user] (new)

That's understandable :) just try not to eat hard stuff stick to soft foods :)

Haha dahmn that was the best part lols

message 493: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I guess. Have you ever had braces?

Yes that was indeed lol xp

message 494: by [deleted user] (new)

No but I nearly had to...bc my bite was out...but once they pulled out all my baby teeth, my bite sorta corrected itself so it wasn't as necessary :)

And yes it totally was!!

message 495: by [deleted user] (new)

You had pull your baby teeth out? They didn't fall out naturally!? That sounds painful!

message 496: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep I had to get 12 baby teeth pulled out bc by the age of 12 or 13 I can't remember exactly my baby teeth weren't falling out the roots on them were massive..and if they didn't pull them out then they would have rotted my second teeth.

And it was sorta painful :) but wasn't too bad.

message 497: by [deleted user] (new)

Yikes! That's a lot of them...well luckily you survived to tell the tale! I'm glad mine came out naturally.

It must have been super painful! So much blood was coming out and I only had the one tooth out!

message 498: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahaha yep and a great tale it is ;) haha I actually found the worst part not having teeth surprisingly...I had to go a year before they started cutting through...I have now complete sympathy for babies who are cutting teeth it's very uncomfortable and sore...

Yeah there was a fair amount of blood...the first time I went in (I went in twice 6 one week and another 6 the following week)...I nearly passed out from the shock of it all bc u can hear the noises as well and mine were hard work to get out...one of the roots even snapped...i tell u that sound still haunts me...I'm absolutely terrified of the dentist now no jokes!! Lols

message 499: by [deleted user] (new)

Aww that's awful! Yeah, that would totally hurt!

I couldn't actually hear when my tooth came out. All I knew was that the skin around my tooth was numb so I couldn't tell if it was out or not! But after the anaesthesia wore off, it did hurt quite a bit. Yeah, it's like the dentist is doing surgery on you or something! I even heard him say 'suction' and it was just like a Korean drama in a surgery room!

message 500: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha just a bit ;)

Haha well glad u didn't hear too much in regards to the tooth coming out!!! Hahaha oh gosh I have a funny picture in my head now of all these Koreans darting around the dentist room looking for the suction tube lols
