Marsha (queenboadicea) | 30 comments I looked at My Books: Yaoi-Manga. I have read and reviewed all 11 of these books under the One Thousand and One Nights. Silly me, I only recently realized that the author is listed as "Anonymous" on all but 1 of the 11 volumes instead of by Jeon JinSeok's name (presumably it would be listed as JinSeok, Jeon). When I bring up the books by clicking on the titles, the author and illustrator's name are both there. But Anonymous is there as well and that's the one that comes up on the My Book page. Clearly, this is a mistake and "anonymous" needs to be removed from these particular manwha titles.

Michael Korleone (michaelkorleone) | 3881 comments Since we don't know the exact author of the original works (One Thousand and One Nights), should we use "Anonymous" as primary author on all editions?

message 4: by Renske (new)

Renske | 12223 comments Adaptations like graphic novels don't have the original author as primary author. The original author can be added as a secondary author.

message 5: by Arenda (new)

Arenda | 26447 comments Adaptations should not be combined with the original works.

I was working on a 16 volume 1001 Nights (see https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...)
There were lots of incorrect combines for 1001 Nights.
I separated all graphic novels and updated the series page: https://www.goodreads.com/series/1381...

Not sure if it really adds something when we add "Anonymous" to these adaptations.

Yeah, there's no real point in putting that in a secondary author slot.
