This sounds very similar to Emma Richmond's His Temporary Mistress - but the big confrontation happens outside the crazy friend's house.

Guy dating girl and has a jealous sister or close friend that's like a sister who makes trouble for their relationship. This sister/friend tells guy something about the girlfriend (can't remember what) that causes him to want to be done with her. Guy and sister/friend encounter girlfriend at a dinner and guy tells girlfriend off when she tells him the sister/friend is crazy and trying to break them up. Guy tells her that that is family and he never wants to see her again. GF is devastated and decides to put house on market and go away. She goes away for a few months and realizes she's pregnant. Only comes back when informed the house sold. Comes back to some vandalism. Bf was having house watched for her return and shows up soon after lamenting about how he realized the sister/friend had issues etc. gf was making tea and hiding baby bump. Then bf realizes she's pregnant. I can't remember rest or ending. Help?!?! Thought it was harlequin presents. Story is haunting me lol. Thanks in advance!
