A loud pig snort occurred behind the cloth drapes of the wagon. "Uhhh … "

"Sadly, yes. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to be back there with them." He sighed heavily.

He stared blankly. "You also wouldn't believe how stupid you look and sound."

As the wagon slowed, Caerwyn went into the cargo and started kicking the pigs out of the back, causing them to scurry away quickly.

"Yeah, whatever." He kept his eyes on the road.
"When I said I'd be your friend, it didn't mean I was changing myself. Don't give me your drama."

"Then you haven't met very many teenage girls, have you?"

"Wait a minute … " He inspected the arrow, which moved slowly. "It's moving. We're not the only one looking for this jewel. Faster!"

"Well it depends on how much this glass jewel is worth. Cassandra?" He looked at her questioningly.

"A lot of people will do drastic things for gold," he said. He spotted a wagon in the distance. Checking the Apshere, it pointed to the wagon. "Follow them!"

"Absolutely," Caerwyn said as he turned around and climbed and held onto the side of their wagon. "Get me as close as you can."

He leapt into the wagon and immediately heard a crushing sound. He looked down and saw hundreds of glass jewels. "Just my luck. Which one is real?"

(Isn't this medieval?)
Caerwyn sighed. Wading through the jewels, he reached through the cloth drapes and pulled one of the figures through. At the sight of him, he screamed, which causes Caerwyn to quickly throw him out the back of the wagon.

She narrowed her eyes at the driver. She knew if she killed him, Cane would die since no one would be driving. She just had to pray he was doing it quickly.
(Alright. *holds hands up in surrender*)
Cane stuck his head out of the wagon. "Have you forgotten that I'm undead?" He yelled.

He slipped back into the wagon and looked around. Suddenly, something caught his eye. He looked down and picked up one of the glass jewels. Even though it was identical to the others, something told him that it was authentic. He turned and leapt out of the wagon, yelling, "I got it," in the process.

"Wait a second!" He grabbed the still breathing body of the one who had been thrown, then bolted with inhuman speed back towards the wagon, leaping onto it and sitting nonchalantly.

He held it up so she could see. "Yep."
Caerwyn unraveled his scarf and wrapped it around her shoulder tightly.

"Oh, I won't need this thing. Besides, you're hurt. You're more important right now."

He thanked the Gods above he didn't have skin that could blush, much less skin at all. "Whatever," he said, continuing to put pressure on the wound.

"Suck it up," he said bluntly. He tied it off and left it there.

"Now we have a man to interrogate," he pointed to the unconscious body on his lap.
