Aftermath chapters 20-28

This thread is to discuss chapters 20-28 of Star Wars: Aftermath. Please do not post spoilers from beyond chapter 28

Chapter 27, p. 257.
Norra was about to crash in the stolen TIE fighter and braces herself. "Her palm mashed buttons. One of those buttons was the ejector." Norra was saved.

Chapter 27, p. 253.
Wedge was about to be recaptured. He puts himself in a fighter position. "...and his foot presses back on the pot again. The pot slides back, the grinding of stone against stone. A thin, narrow door. A secret passage." Wedge is saved.

This is just lazy writing. Wedge just happens to be cornered at a secret door? Norra a trained pilot does not recognize an eject button, literally, under her hands?
What chance do the Imperials have with this suspense killing blind luck within 4 pages of each other no less.

Too often, these characters appear to have died but we later find out that they actually escaped death. I agree with you, Kerry.

Ok. I'm really starting to like Sinjur and Mister Bones. The Dengar, Vader's saber, and Han Solo interludes were great. At this point I am thoroughly enjoying this book

this kinda referencing the legends universe but not really kinda makes me hate this book. calling the tie fighters "evil eye " instead of eye balls. they did give wedge the same back story as well as Chewbacca

Interludes are good. Wanted more with the Han and Chewie one. Vaders light saber popping up was intriguing. Is that suppose to be a reference later? And the rest of the characters are together but they don't feel like a team still.
