Discuss the books

Bree The order of which of the three is my top favorite, then which one is my least favorite is this:
The Hunger Games
Catching Fire
Mockingjay

I'm sorry, but I was sorely disappointed with the last book.

I get you:) I wasn't that interested in the last book, and JUST managed to finish it.

Ok, I've just finished watching the movie Catching Fire. It was better than I'd thought it'd be. For one I'd prefer to watch the movie first before reading the books but that wasn't possible for this trilogy(I've read all three). This way I'm giving the movie a fair chance because the books always have more detail in them.

Any opinions on my take of this?

@Natalia,
I agree with you about Cinna and Prim's death. So much was sacrificed for Prim's life and still she didn't make it. Because Cinna was so supportive with his dramatic costumes I knew his days were numbered! In all, these books were different but the same as well. The struggles continued. The players remained through out but the grew and matured with each book/movie, too. Peeta drove me crazy with his less than aggressive ways. He's always wanting to sacrifice himself.

The Mockingjay was the most brutal losses of all but it brought the trilogy to an end with most of the key players banged up but still alive. Gale was doomed from the beginning. In the movie, Catching Fire he was more aggressive with his feelings(the kisses)toward Katniss. And Katniss returned the same affections with him. I don't remember this being so in the book. She wanted nothing more than a friendship with him because she wanted to stay detached. Anyone agree or disagree with my ramblings?

I like seeing how the books are transformed from print to screne because it give a visual if I haven't gotten one while reading.
But I don't like when the books are re-written for the movies. The plot/story lines are fine and should be left alone. We love the books so why change a thing!!

Apparently Mockingjay is going to be made into two separate movies. I don't see how it has enough content for that though...it should just be one big movie, although it will inevitably be longer than a normal one because of the length

It'll be just like Breaking Dawn. It's all about the money. To drag it out is just a shame. Oh well, I'll watch it anyway...lol
