Okaasan is Japanese for Mother and Russia is a country so it means Mother Russia which is a fandom thing ( I know it's confusing)
yep the fandom it's self is confusing to people too, I have gotten many weird looks when discussing it with friends.

yep ( the Anime is better, but the Anime isn't caught up completely so Russia is more awesome in the Manga)

Anime is like a Japanese cartoon while Manga is like a Japanese graphic novel, often there is one of each like a manga Tactics and Anime Tactics that are almost the same, but slightly different.
Yep It's the confusing world of Japanese fandoms, there is some in other Asian countries, but Japan does the most and best

History when we were talking about west ward expansion and America thought it was the chosen one and how it was all full of itself. All I could think of was America and his obsession with being the hero

Nothing there is just so few of them there is only ten of them!

most of the countries have people, but they are all boys! ( that could be argued with Poland and France)
Belgium is girl so that's good
Hungary, but she is a bit gender confused, Taiwan, but she doesn't appear in any episodes, Vietnam she looks awesome, but doesn't appear in any episodes, Ukraine and Belarus ( both have major problem o-o) and Seychelles. I'm pretty sure that's all of them.
Belgium is my favorite girl even though she is only in two episodes, she is just so funny in both of them.
