Week #8: Bookcover mostly white or mostly blue, Option 1
Never Never (Never Never, #1) by Colleen Hoover
Book:
Never Never by Colleen Hoover&Tarryn Fisher
Pages: 159 pages
Qualification: cover is blue
Rating & Review: ★★.
Two thumbs down for me on this story! Seriously, I don't know what this story is about other that two high school kids with amnesia trying to remember. It was an unimpressive ring around the rosey while the kids try to covertly draw information from those around them. I will read book 2 because I need answers.

This joint venture (Tarryn Fisher & Colleen Hoover) isn't working for me. Colleen hoover's writing is usually entertaining and linear. This story was just like someone threw a tear gas canister into a room, and the readers are left fumbling their way to the end.

This remains a great start to a paranormal series. In most first books, the story tends to be dragged down by world building, Slave to Sensation does not suffer from over explanations. I love Sascha and Lucas' story and seeing how they make each other better. This remain's one of my favorite stories.

He's So Fine (Lucky Harbor, #11) by Jill Shalvis

Book: He's So Fineby Jill Shalvis
Pages: 368 Pages
How the book qualifies - Mostly White Cover
Rating - 4 Stars
Completed 11/5/15

I always enjoy taking a trip back to Lucky Harbor. Lucky Harbor is a town where I would love to live even though everyone gossips about you and you never know when Lucille will post your picture on the town’s Facebook page. This is a town where everyone always seems to find love in strange places, and this installment is no different. There are always secrets to hide and new romances that are budding. Cole and Olivia are no different. Both have are overcoming prior issues but realize that their romance is blooming. Cole was not a typical alpha male and Olivia was kind yet strong and vulnerable. The character building throughout this book left me with wanting more and rooting that in the end, both Olivia and Cole would give in to their temptation and open their hearts to each other.

Yes, Lucky Harbor can be sappy, and I have to space out the books. However, this series is fun, quirky, and is a comfort read. I hate that the series is almost over, but all good things must come to an end.

I really like Lisa Kleypas books, this is the second contemporary written by her that I read and I like them, but something is missing. I think I would have loved to read from Hardy perspective too. But I loved the story, my heart broke for Haven, but I really liked her character growth and her story overall.

I have been putting this off for a long time. I heard mixed reviews and wasn’t very impressed. I really enjoyed reading book 1 of the series and can’t wait to begin book 2. Paranormal is one of my favorite genres, and this one did not disappoint. I love strong female characters, and Taryn didn’t disappoint. Not only was she a healer, but she was also a latent shifter. Being a latent shifter was an embarrassment to her father since Latent shifters are unable to fully shift into wolf form. Taryn’s father is the leader of the pack, and she is slated to mate with someone she sees as her enemy. Trey offers Taryn a deal to save his pack and in return will save her from a loveless and abusive mating. There are some adult situations in this book. Remember that you have been warned!

I do plan on reading book 2 sooner rather than later.

I really had no idea what to expect when going into reading this. And while, yes, some of these was cheesy at times, this book really drew me in. I loved the story, loved the way the characters evolved and loved the way I was just completely unable to look up from the book without instantly wanting to know what happened next.

Rome and Molly were great characters, although I thought at the beginning she was too much like a caricature. I liked seeing more depth there than just the geeky girl wearing orange crocs.

Even the cheesy Shakespeare references grew on me. LOL, that's saying a lot!

I feel in love with the supporting characters too, so I'm looking forward to seeing where the series goes.

The reason why I'm giving this a 4 and not a 5 was due to the fact that the ending felt rushed to me. Now that may be addressed in later books, but I just wanted it fleshed out more.

I'm not really sure what took me so long to finally read this book. Once I finally started it, I couldn't put it down. I loved reading about all the characters that make up this world. I also liked how it dealt with Bones and Cat. I'm glad they finally realized that they both make stupid decisions and that they need to be more open with each other. Hopefully, this means they'll be less stupid plans on their part that keeps the other out of the loop, but I'm not holding my breath. I can't wait to start the next one and am super excited that I've reached the point in the series I can start reading the books about the other characters.

The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst

Qualification: #5 on Best Accidentally Pregnant in Romance Novels
Read & Review: ★★★★. I have sat on this book for a couple of years and I don't know why. It's a mix of two popular tropes: marrying for money but falls in love AND crush on my BFF's big brother. It wasn't anything new but it was still entertaining. I thank the author for not dragging the story out. It was just right in length.
Alexa had a big heart and a lot of love to give, which was good because Nick's heart was frozen. These opposites worked well for me.
I know Maggie's book will be good too.

In this book Ana and Christian got married. The book starts when they are on their honeymoon in Europe. They life is almost perfect.

I liked that there been action, but sometimes there was too much drama. I liked Christian transformation in all three books, but it look like Ana in books one and two was this shy girl and in this one she finally got a interesting personality. But this is just my opinion.

Man when these Sullivan men find their woman, they are no joke are they? Zach is the next one of these men to get knocked on his behind after meeting and falling hard for dog trainer, Megan.

Megan is a dog trainer and she meets up with Zach because his niece-to-be, Summer leaves a dog for him to take care of while she was on vacation. But, it seemed like Zach ended up being the one who was trained.

I loved that Megan wasn't all gaga over Zach's looks. I mean, yeah, she was attracted to him, but she didn't just roll over for him either (no pun intended). And what's even better was that Zach's dog and Megan's dog were inseparable as well.

As with all of the Sullivan books I've read so far, Megan and Zach fell in love VERY quickly, but for some reason when Bella Andre is writing it, it just works.

It looks like Ryan's the next one to fall in the series, and I can not wait to see how that's going to play out!
