I didn't liked this book. It was slow and boring. I really liked Marco the teenager but I hated him as an adult. He was a bully. And Hannah was sweet but she lost me when she let Marco in her life so easy. He left her!!! I think this will be my last book in this series that I will read or maybe I will give Cole's book a shot. I really like him, he was the only thing in this book that I liked.

It was a quick, fun book. I liked Reid and his dirty talk and I really liked Lucie and her awkwardness. What I don't like in my books is when the guy screws up and then realize he was a dick and comes back and the girl instead of making him work for her love just forgives him instantly. And that's the reason this is a 3.5 stars book.

I didn't enjoy this one but it was me. If you like Fantasy stories, this is a good one. It was set in a magical Realm Dyzvati with princess Haydyn and her BFF Rogan as the main characters. Haydyn had a disease and Rogan was on the quest to get a plant in order to save the last living princess of Dyzvati.

Rogan as the Handmaiden of Pheadra was a pretty strong character and heroine, but I guess I was expecting some of the On Dublin Street magic. But Rogan was a focused heroine, and so the story wasn't focused on attraction brewing between Rogan and Wolfe, the captain of the guard.

I really liked Wolfe and wanted him to find happiness with Rogan. But Rogan was very resistant to him because of Wolfe's father (Syracen) and what he'd done to Rogan's family. I was hoping for more fireworks and angst, but it wasn't really there. It was an okay story but it just didn't thrill me.

Just fantastic! I love this series, and I love the way the story arc draws me deeper and deeper. I thought the way Curran was portrayed as the ex-Beast Lord was very well done. I loved the way everyone kept calling him a butt-hole (PG version) not knowing that it was him that they were talking about.

There were lots of moments I loved in this book. It made me laugh (like fighting over taking the "kids" to kill ghouls while trying to take down an army of supernatural lizards) and made me cry (not giving spoilers, but there was some really sad and poignant moments in there), but overall it had me hooked.

I've listened to this whole series on audio, and I have to admit, I can't imagine enjoying one of these books with Rene Raudman's interpretation. She's spot on every time.

I can't wait for this series to continue. There's a whole lot of story left, and I just have to see what the Gordons come up with next for this crew.

While this was an easy and fast read, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did Cinder. This book bounced back between Cinder and Scarlet’s POV. I didn’t like Scarlet as much as I did Cinder and much of the book was already covered in Book 1. I am coming to realize that fairytale retellings are not my favorite genre. I felt that this book was just lacking from book 1. I would have liked to see more world building and more character development. While this is YA, to me it read more like a children’s fantasy. I will continue with the series just to find out what happens. I also hate to leave a series undone.

Scarlett must locate her missing grandmother. This plot is retelling from Red Riding Hood with a twist. Cinder must escape prison but as soon as she does will be the commonwealth’s number one fugitive. Wolf is a streetfighter who has an encounter with Scarlett. The two meet Cinder and must avoid Lunar Queen Levana who wants Prince Kai to herself.

All the men in the series are alpha males on steroids. The books are big on insta-love and the heroes are in some ways like cavemen, (view spoiler). They can be way over the top at times and I do have moments where I'm thinking "Did I Just Read That?" or did he really say that? Her books are kind of like a cotton candy fix, a little bit goes a long way for me.
Forewarned, this is the second book in the series and it does start on a cliff hanger from the first. I had forgotten what happened earlier and I was confused for the first chapter or so.

I thought this was a really cute book, just what I would expect from Julie James. Both Victoria and Ford were very likable characters and I loved their interactions with each other...even with they "hated" one another.

The story was interesting and I liked the way it tied Ford and Victoria together. And I'm glad that the "bad guy" they were looking turned out to be something totally different. It was a nice addition to the plot.

I didn't realize that this was related to the US Attorney/FBI series, and I haven't even gotten to book #5 of that series yet, but this book was definitely a stand alone in that I didn't need to have read any of that series to enjoy this book. But, I will go back and read book #5 ASAP.

I listened to this on audio, and the narrator was great. I literally fell into the story and didn't even realize I listened to the whole thing until the read "the end". I'd definitely listen to that narrator again.

Although Harper is a former beauty queen, she is down on her luck with no job and no means to support her younger sister. The few remaining shops will not hire her thanks to her mother’s scandalous ways. Harper and her sister are stuck in Wyoming until her sister graduates high school. Harper’s close friend connects her to Bran who is in desperate need of a farm hand. Having no clue what a farm hand is, Harper immediately accepts the position. Although Bran is hesitant, he is left with few options since his right hand man suffered an injury right at the busiest time of the year.

As Bran and Harper connect, Bran realizes that there is more to this beauty queen and begins to wonder how he can lasso her into staying in the sleepy town in Wyoming.

Lorelei James is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This is book 2 of Blacktop Cowboys series. This book was a little slow for me to get engrossed in but quickly became a hit. I will definitely read book 3!

You don't have to switch Ezi, but if you want to just be done with it, you can. The next theme hasn't been called yet. Once it has, you won't be able to switch anyway.

Although, if you are going to be finished with your book tomorrow anyway, I think you are fine with waiting.

I definitely loved the chemistry between Carissa and Josh. The story was good for the most part too, but I thought the reason why they "couldn't be together" was a little over the top. I kept rolling my eyes every time they brought it up.

Ivy Lee goes back in San Francisco to work with her uncle Ned in his tattoo shop until the day when Ivy walked in on her the murder of her uncle and a client. Ivy quickly became a loose end that the murderers need to tie up. But first the perpetrators need to know what Ivy saw, and if she had any incriminating evidence. So they sent in an assassin extraordinaire, Sebastian Riker, to retrieve the evidence and clean up the unfinished business.

Sebastian began by befriending the loner tattoo artist to probe her awareness into her uncle’s affairs. He was quickly intrigued by the smart mouthed girl. They just seem to click and Sebastian quickly found that this assignment will require him to make hard choices and sacrifices he was unwilling to make.

I liked Ivy because she was both strong and vulnerable at the same time. She was rude, yet sweet. She seemed aloof but she was caring. She seemed like a loner but she enjoyed the company of those who accepted her. Most of all, she was true to herself. Ivy was a great match for Sebastian because he needed to be needed. This was his shot at redemption and he took it!

The story was about Ivy and Sebastian’s evolution as solitary figures into a unit. It was how they able to sow seeds of trust and eventually depend on it. It wasn’t insta-love, nor was this story a fast paced romance. It was the progressive growth of Sebastian and Ivy as they made peace with their past and decided what they wanted for the future. This was romantic suspense done right. The writing was really good. There was mystery and suspense; there was love and romance too. I really enjoyed this book and the series as a whole.
