History/Background: Harlow is one of those people who nearly always gets good grades for every subject. She had a small a group of friends, and they all did very well in school, but Harlow was the smartest (hence being chosen for the testing). She was raised on a farm and used her father's rifle and pistol at times, which didn't have real bullets. Her mother was frail and poor, and her brother was mentally disabled-which Harlow absolutely loathed. Sometimes at school she was judged for being weird and crazy, or bullied because of her brother, but her friends stoood up for her :) She was also bullied for being a bookworm, a reading nerd. She had quite a lot of troubles at school (but sometimes she managed a clever comeback for insults). History/Background: When Jace was four years old, his mom died. She was an engineer, and one day she was fixing a motor and it blew up, killing her instantly. Jace has been living with just his father ever since. Oddly enough, Jace took an interest in engineering. Always striving to invent things to help, he worked on his creations whenever he wasn't studying to get top grades. His projects included: Fixing all the buildings that had electric lights with sensors that turned the lights on/off whenever someone entered/left the room, creating a tempurature regulator for the green houses, outfitted every colonist with a short range warning beacon and tracker, to be used if you were in trouble, and perfecting the water filters in the dam that the river flows through. Jace got the scars on his throat when his friend activated his beacon. His friend had been outside the gates getting soil samples (For his own project, trying to completely remove the chemicals from the earth) and got attacked by a mutated wolf. Jace killed the wolf with a small pistle that he made, but not before the wolf scratched his throat. Jace wanted to be chosen for the Testing his whole life, and worked as hard as he could to get accepted.

History/Background:
When he was very young, his mother died in a fire, leaving him only his father and brother to live with. His father wasn't abusive, but often left them alone, which caused him to become very protective of his little brother. His father never treated him like a child, but as an adult, and expected much of him. He expected him to take care of his brother no matter what, and to never be anything less than perfect. Dean did decently in school because of his intelligence, but never really studied enough to get straight A's. When he was growing up, his father began to train him in combat, claiming that it would help him protect his brother. Although he taught young Sammy to fight, as well, Sammy never showed as much proficiency at it... and the only instance in which he would have to use his skills would be if Dean failed to protect him. As a 16-year-old, Dean is now protective of not only his brother, but of anyone weaker than him. He would give his life (although not happily) in a heartbeat to help or save the lives of others.
