Hannah I ship them too! Feyre and Tamlin don't know very much about each other to consider them to be "in love. "

Also at the end of ACOTAR Feyre seemed to feel disconnected from Tamlin. I think becoming Fae made Feyre feel lost. Her actions for survival in ACOTAR seem to bother her too.

I think in the next book Feyre will learn more about herself and what kind of person she wants to be.

I like Rhys because he doesn't seem bad but he doesn't se good. We have a lot more to learn about him and I feel like he is more than what meets the eye.

Many people are saying that the next book is the Hades/Persephone storyline. If this is true Rhysand wants Feyre to be his wife. I think that is why he made that one week of every month deal. Thoughts?

Agreed, can't wait to find out his reasons for doing that. It's not just to piss of Tamlin, he'd find her a nuisance to have around (for the two weeks he actually wanted) for a week. So he must be genuinely interested in her. And why not, when he's known everyone for a few hundred years and she's the first new one to come along?

Yupp, yupp and yupp!

message 10: by Hannah (new)

Hannah Guys I just realized something! In Maas's other series Aelin talks about a soulmate bond that can be formed between two compatible faes. What if Rhys realized at the end of ACOTAR that he is bonded with Feyre?!? I think it makes sense. How else would Feyre be able to "see" through Rhys eyes when she was dying? I was thinking before that they were just mates but now it could be something much deeper.

Anyway I will always prefer Rhys instead of Tamlin.

message 13: by Xoxoasia (new)

Xoxoasia | 97 comments I was thinking the same thing! I think at the end of ACOTAR, Rhys realized that they were soulmates. However, I think Feyre is going to still want to be with Tamlin. Afterall, she did go through all the crap Amarantha put her through for Tamlin.

message 14: by Jenn (last edited Nov 22, 2015 04:20AM) (new)

Jenn | 18 comments I don't think Feyre could/would want to choose Tamlin over Rhys (assuming they were mated). Like Tamlin's parents; his mother stayed with his father despite knowing how horrible he is.

If Feyre and Rhys really mated at the end of ACOTAR, I think it would take some time for Feyre to realise it because it could be something to do with her new fae body, a body that she isn't attuned to yet.

What do you guys think?

Also, I love love lovee Rhysand <3

Most definitely! If it has happened, she won't know what it is and she'll get stressed out and feel guilty for it too! Rhys would know though, he'd probably go into a little bit of shock and try to stop it so he and Tamlin don't have to rip out each others throats out. But they can't stop it, it would end up causing them physical pain to be apart from each other (from what I know of Maas' Fae).
Kind of hope it's happened, not a huge fan of Tamlin. Rhys all the way! And would provide a shed load of tense Rhys and Tam scene time!

message 16: by Calla (new)

Calla | 18 comments Idk, I don't really like rhysand. I don't think forcing someone to spend time with you is a great way to make them fall in love with you. And I think I feyre chooses Rhys over tamlin it would make her out to be wispy washy and undecided. I mean, seriously, she gave everything to get tamlin back.....

And I really really really hate how rhysand invaded her thought..... If he didn't do that maybe I would like him more.

Although.... I don't really like feylin either.... I think the romance came on tooo fast, the only consolation being that in the beginning he was totally using her to try to break his curse. He didn't love her in the beginning in the beginning it was an act :)

message 23: by Hannah (last edited Jan 14, 2016 08:24PM) (new)

Hannah Tamlin was so boring. I don't see the chemistry between him and Feyre at all. The only reason Tamlin took Feyre in was to make her fall in love with him so it would break his curse. I mean I don't blame the guy for TRYING but the moral of the story shouldn't be that you can force someone to fall in love with you. When I say force...yup I mean force. I mean he didn't really give Feyre much of a choice. It was either die or live with me for the rest of your life. How romantic? Feyre and Tamlin have a lustful relationship. To me, love is something that is only gradually built over time and creeps up on you softly. I hope Tamlin ends up being evil or something that would make the story way more interesting.

message 24: by Lexie (new)

Lexie I do kind of agree. I found the whole curse thing real far fetched and honestly unrealistic. I mean it was way too painfully specific, and it was a curse not a prophecy. To have that then actually happen, it was just weird.
On the other hand I'm alright with Feyre and Tamlin's love, it did develop slowly and nicely and shows that first impressions aren't anything, and a person can be very different when you dig deep down. And the fact that a tough guy like Tamlin really did fall in love with Feyre, and she realised she had fallen in love with him. There are both good and not good aspects.

Please recall that tamlin semt her away even sfter he fell in love with her and seriously? How do you force someone to love you? He told her that if she left, other fae would try to get her which was true . And where was there ever an ultimatum for love me or die? That wasnt what happened. Seriously? Did you read the same book im thinking about?

I do see what you're saying, but I don't think Tamlin's a bad person for doing that. He'd had the curse for YEARS, and then a teenage girl came along with the exact criteria he needed to break it... can you blame him for trying? Also, she really pushed him away at first, and it was only after a couple months that she started realizing that he wasn't truly a beast, and he had feelings and cared for her. I don't ship them as much as I ship Rhysand + Feyre, but I still thought their courtship was adorable and sweet, and I don't think he 'forced' her into anything. It's not like he raped her, or threatened her to marry him.

message 27: by Lexie (new)

Lexie Everyone has different opinions and sees things differently. There are multiple ways in which the story can be interpreted.

message 28: by Xoxoasia (new)

Xoxoasia | 97 comments After thinking about the first book, I realized I'm not really going for one ship over the other. I love how the relationship is out in the open with Tamlin, but I also love how Rhysand and Feyre's relationship is sort of mysterious. There's still 2 books to go and alot can happen in 2 books.

message 29: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments Feyre went through all that under the mountain, not just out of love for Tamlin (& Lucien), but for Prythien... the entire society. Rhys included. She initially went for Tamlin, but after all her encounters with Rhys, it changed for the greater good. So if she does end up with Rhys it doesn't discount the first book at all. I love her & Rhys... but I don't hate her & Tam either. I just can't wait to read the next one.

message 30: by mace (new)

mace (maces) I think Tamlin is very boring. Rhys has so much more depth to his character, so I am 100% team Rhys.

message 31: by Noris (new)

Noris | 574 comments The only reason why I don't ship Rhys and Feyre is because I'm such a selfish prick and I want him all for me. Really, I loved his character. He's so clever... (I have a thing for clever and cunning guys). If something happens between the girl and him it's okai, if not, it's okai too, as long as he doesn't become in a sort of Sidney Carton.

Go girl!! I totally agree... although it would be kind of weird since Feyre killed for Tamlin. Not to mention he would be totally devastated. But true love is inevitable so...

message 38: by Sandy (new)

Sandy (bookblubbs) | 116 comments I think that she'll never be able to forgive herself even with Tamlin's support. And thats where Rhysand comes in ;)

message 39: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Hakenewerth | 2 comments Feyre went to the mountain out of love for Tamlin, but also because she felt a sense of responsibility towards all the people who are cursed. Her becoming fae made her lose a little part of herself and so she's going to be different and not herself (possibly the self that Tamlin fell in love with). Since Tamlin is going to be happy that his curse is broken and everyone is going to be celebrating it's going to make feyre retreat within herself because she'll feel like she can't connect. That's where I think rhysand is going to come in at. He knows what it feels like to not be accepted and so feyre will bond with him. This will cause her and Tamlin to have trouble in paradise so that's why I think she's going to end up with rhysand. If I

message 41: by Birjis (new)

Birjis Afroz | 122 comments I think it will be extremely cliched if tamlin turns out to be her mate. I don't hate tamlin it's just that the same thing happens in most YA novels :the good guy wins. So I'm hoping for something different.

message 42: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 86 comments That's what I loved about the Vampire Diaries!! It seems like the good guy always wins!! Edward, Dimitri, Peeta, etc. Not that I don't live those three buts it refreshing when a character takes a risk aka Damon or Rhysand!
