Hi girls,

I just wanted to say hi since I've fallen off the face of the earth this last week. I had a huge personal family crisis, as well as coming down with bronchitis. I am no farther along in Middlemarch because of all of this. I don't know when I'll finish it at this point as I haven't had much time to read. I DO want to finish it, but it could take me awhile still, so don't wait for me. I'll catch up with the discussions and reading. Miss you all!

Take your time. You definitely need to be in the right frame of mind to read the book. (At least, that was my experience.) You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I actually was planning on starting it this week! I know we still need to discuss Middlemarch but I was thinking this book might help with the discussion?

I started it earlier this month and then stopped to finish Book 1 of War and Peace. I will start it up again this week.

Hey Ladies!

I've started Mead's book this week. I'm only a few chapters in, but I've already tagged and marked so much! I think this was perfect to read after Middlemarch especially since our discussion has had to be pushed back a few months.

Has anyone else started yet? I think Aisha said she's read a chapter or two? I'd love to post a few comments from the introduction and then maybe discuss each chapter, since there's a wealth of material! I don't want to rush though, if we aren't quite ready to read and discuss yet.

I just finished it. Have I mentioned how much I hate not being able to underline things and bookmark and put sticky notes and write in the margins? It's so hard to remember when you can't do that! But I'll try my best.
