I was just looking at the index. the book is divided into 5 parts. The end of part 1 is after 7 chapters at page 41. (Kindle version). Out first check point could be there? What do you think?

I'm so so sorry about this! How awful. I'm super allergic too, but not to the point of fever. But when I'm exposed it lasts almost 3 months...

FEEL better. It's a quick read, so you'll catch up when you need to!

It's currently earning a 3 from me (out of 5).

Any thoughts guys? LOL. I've stopped on Chapter 22. Just a few pages left in section 2. I'm going to confess, I'm kind of skimming this one. I'm dying to know if I'm missing something redeeming here, lol!

I'm on chapter 20. I can't really follow the story, I think it's a bit boring and repetitive. I hope it gets better. It should because everyone talked so good about it.

Ok, I just finished part 3. It has DEFINITELY improved. So, I'm not so bored and I'm actually READING now instead of skimming.

I have finally found something to be VERY curious about. (view spoiler)[ These - monster things. Obviously remnants of a time before the coffins. Now I'm curious what happened to them and especially why there is folded skin where their MOUTHS are supposed to be! (hide spoiler)]

I'll be working on part 4 later tonight and tomorrow. Depending on how it ends I don't know if I'll continue with the series or not. It's just too similar to other book series I've read in the past.

I think we all need to stop apologizing to each other, lol!

I will be starting part 4 today - I'm not too motivated by this book. If we weren't doing a BR, not sure I'd even finish it, lol. It's ok, but I have other things I'm reading that are commanding my attention much better.

Ok, I am 2 chapters into part 4. I really don't know what to think of what I'm reading, lol.

Mad at how everyone is treating each other and how the "monster" is treating the survivors of WHATEVER happened. REally would like to know what the different symbols mean. And now we find out that we're in SPACE?!?!?!?! Ugh. I'm not sure if I liked this twist or not. Maybe I'll decide as I go further..... At least I know why they didn't fall off the ceiling while they were walking, lololol! (hide spoiler)]

Here's my review:

(view spoiler)[Well. What did I think? I think it was just kinda dumb. I tried to like it. I really did. There were parts that were definitely intriguing, things I wanted answers too. But I really feel like it was a copy of other books just put together in a different sequence. I've not read anything else by this Author, so I don't know if this is normal or just an anomaly.

This book got some great reviews so some people obviously really liked it. Perhaps they haven't read all the other books where kids wake up in a place they don't know trying to figure out what's going on.

I gave it a 3 star rating because there were a few things that did surprise me and I think there is an underlying message in there that wants to surface.

I will not be continuing on with this series. If you do and you find it to be redeeming - please let me know! (hide spoiler)]

Ok, so I have finished. I shall also let in end here for me! Was not very original in my opinion. Can't wait to hear what you guys think when you are able to finish and really talk about it.

it really is odd so far, but I can see where it could go so I'll hold judgement for now

I'm in part IV - finished chapter 33

aww..okay, answers. this is what I thought (view spoiler)[ this had a feel of Across the Universe - waking up in coffin like holding spots.
So...these kids sound like replicas - clones - and they are trying to kill the new clones of who they hate so they can control who continues to rule and live and who dies out.
interesting, this whole ship sounds like they've lost their mind

huh. I didn't dislike it as much as I thought because the answers, surprisingly, were interesting enough to hook me, I think(view spoiler)[ I'm curious to see the different of Em vs Matilda and what she will learn to do differently. (hide spoiler)]

I do however hate(view spoiler)[ the love triangle. Ugh, just pick O'Malley and be done with it. I think Bishop is a good 2nd in command but will not take of her like O'Malley will..... (hide spoiler)]

I agree on your 2nd spoiler post Trisha!

And it's ok, you can't like em all, and the beginning is what bugged me so badly - I just couldn't shake the feeling I was reading Maze runner INSIDE instead of outside, lol!

But it sure did pick up much better at the end, that is for sure!
