Good month Dawn. I also just finished Broken Promises. By the time thenext book comes out, I'll probably forget what I read in the other book.
Too true about Excel files, Dawn! Good looking monthly list! I had picked City of Echoes as my August Kindle first selection but haven't started it yet. I want to read Bourbon Kings! Good month. :)
City of Echoes is on my read list for October, so is the Dead Room. Looking forward to it.

Dan, no I didn't, but it was a good six years ago that I read it. Thats what a prompted by excel sheet...too many times I bought a book and as I read, I remembered it. Barry, it was your rave on his new book that prompted me to (re)start the series. Ann, thats how I got City of Echoes as well! What did you choose for September? Hope you all enjoy Bourbon Kings as much as I did.
Dawn: the Kindle First title I selected for September is Hot Sur. With six selections to narrow to one, tough choices! Which one did you select?

Broken Promises by Linwood Barclay 7/10 - The David Harwood we met in Never Looks Away is trying to pick up the pieces of his life. But when his cousin is suspected of kidnapping a baby and murder, he's right in the middle of it. Many unresolved plots that will continue in Far From True out in March.
Ever After by Jude Deveraux 7/10 - Enjoyable light read where main character, Hallie, inherits a home where Jamie is being allowed to recuperate from an accident
City of Echoes by Robert Ellis 7/10 - Matt Jones is newly assigned to Homicide and immediately in the midst of a serial killer case. It took me awhile to warm up to some of the main characters, but in the end I did. Just found this story a bit far fetched.
Solomon vs Lord by Paul Levine 9/10 Loved the first of this series. When I went to record on my excel I found I had read it years ago (I liked it then too). Excel worksheets only work if you look at them. Seriously, glad for the reread as a refresher as I plan to continue with the series.
The Deep Blue Alibi by Paul Levine - 9/10 Book 2 of the series.
The Bourbon Kings by JR Ward 8/10 - First in a new romance series. Lane Bradford is pulled back into the family fold after a series of disasters hit.
