Alan J. Pakula really did a nice job on Loren Singer's nightmare USA assassination novel. Stands up to Richard Condon's 'Manchurian Candidate'.
Pakula was no slouch. Director also of 'Klute', 'To Kill a Mockingbird', etc.

Yeah. The first scenes of that film had great cinematography and set design.
