(Spoilers, seriously. I'm not River Song.)I liked this book. It wasn’t predictable like some I’ve read before.

I didn’t expect Major Carlisle (The name could be wrong as I haven’t read this book in quite some time, but I did check,so I’m 70% sure. Apologies.)
To not be one of the aliens and actually help them out.

The writer really showed how Amy could be independent and not feel helpless when The Doctor wasn’t around, she put herself out there, and tried her best to get the job done, although she did end up changing into one of those things herself, she did try.

I would reccommend this book to others,it was a good read.

What did you like about this book?

Is their anything about it you would change?

CaptKirk42 Classic Whovian (klandersen) | 26 comments I liked this one, but I'll have to thumb through to recall enough to talk intelligently about this one. I read it so many months back. At the time I read it I read 3 or 4 Doctor who books back to back to back.

I think that is a pretty common thing to do with reviews, unless you are writing your review within minutes of finishing the book.

lol no. I rarely do a review right after. I take it way too seriously,so it takes me too long to do it. I love books way too much, and certain books are like family almost... or the category. Doctor Who and The Hobbit are especially hard for me to do reviews. How did it fair for you?

Rick Wood | 1 comments I like this one. It felt like he captured the Eleventh Doctor and Amy quite well considering it was written so early into their run. The opening mystery of displacement is really compelling. I felt it was a bit of a shame they didn't make that the premise of the story but it's still very well realised.
I enjoyed the comedy with the Doctor and Amy talking on a delayed line. There are a lot of similarities with the Seeds of Death in terms of the outdated rocket being brought back into use. The body possession reminded me of the Mysterons more than anything else. Quite a lot to unpick from a relatively easy read!
