Poor Nina, gah, and they are all kids ya know? They have seen so much and had so much taken from them but still just kids. Kaz and Inej are wonderful. I finished this this am. I loved it the second time just as much as the first. And now I remember why I wanted to read the next one. What's interesting to me is that I read the first Grisha book, and really didn't like it at all.

yeah, i read that first Grisha book, but I could not continue that series, it was not working for me

Finally reading this! Read through Chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ well this book certainly jumps right into the action! That scene with the Healer was crazy! That drug is dangerous, can't wait to see what develops there.

The Dregs, awesome gang name by the way, are intense. Kaz is terrifying and completely intriguing. I can't wait to learn more about his story. Inej is my favorite so far, how very bad ass to be called the Wraith. (hide spoiler)]

Oh my gosh this is so good! I love finding out more about these characters, even though each story is more heartbreaking than the last. Matthias and Nina has a very complicated past, I want even more of them! Inej is still my favorite, her story is a bit more mysterious still but I love her relationship with Kaz. Also Jesper is a fav, he's great comic relief.

Inej (and Kaz) (view spoiler)[ Noooo, not Inej! Hell of a way to end a story and pretty much 100% assure every reader will be itching to get the sequel. Well done Ms. Bardugo. I really loved how the book ended with the group sticking together due to loyalty to Inej and with Pekka Rollins acknowledging that Kaz is a total bad ass. I also appreciated that the author didn't push Inej and Kaz together. It isn't their time yet - it's pretty obvious they'll be a couple at some point but Kaz has too many boundaries and secrets to work through. I look forward to seeing him develop in the 2nd book.
