SOLVED. Book series of a few kids, one named Pete, own a junk yard [s]

In the 7th grade I read several books of this series. One of them, I think the leader, is named Pete. The parents/uncles of one of the kids own a junk yard, and it's mentioned frequently. They go through all kind of adventures.
I know I give a very vague description, hopefully someone recognizes. Thanks!

I think you are maybe talking about The Three Investigators series by Robert Arthur Jr. Its been many years since I have read any of these but if memory serves. They are 3 boys age 14-16 area one is named Pete another named Jupiter not sure of the third. Anyway they ran an investigative practice out of a broke down tailor or RV in a junk yard. But you could only get to the headquarters if you new the secret passage. Hope this helps good luck.

I'm going to second Rainy on Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators Series by Robert Arthur. If I remember correctly Jupiter was the leader of the boys and Pete the narrator.
