I figured it would. i'm trying to be positive about it. :/ the lone black sheep that i am...
Wow, Ashley, you're way ahead of me! How are you doing, Karen?I made it through all of Part 1 and Chapter 7 today, about 115 pages.

Part 1 read. Interesting start. Strange to be back in the land of the Grisha with different characters. Kaz is shaping up as an interesting character.
Part two read. Plan is coming together slowly. Well-depicted characters, but there's a definite sense of something being held back.
Kim at Divergent Gryffindor wrote: "Chapter 1: [spoilers removed]"It doesn't really have anything to do with the other Grisha series, except that it's set in the same world. It might help you to look up the different Grisha powers, like Heartrenders and Fabrikators; here's a link that explains the different sections pretty well.
Besides that, you don't need to know much of anything about Leigh Bardugo's other series.
Helen, I feel like I remember Joost being one of the people Anya said "wait" and he is just still waiting. I'm not positive though.
Ashley wrote: "Helen, I feel like I remember Joost being one of the people Anya said "wait" and he is just still waiting. I'm not positive though."In any case, he doesn't seem like a part of the plot.

I think you're right, probably was just an intro to jurda parem.
Part 4. Interesting to see the narrative develop. Plan seems crazy-I hope it works! Pleased to be told a little more about Kaz.
Part 5. A dramatic section-was never sure who was betraying who. Hoping I get some answers in part 6!

That'great! Thank you, Helen! :)
Kim, a druskelle is pretty much a Fjerdan soldier. If I'm correct their main purpose is to rid the world of Grisha.
