I am really enjoying the setting of this, in the same world as grisha but such a different feel. I'm enjoying the heist aspect and can't wait to get to know more about Kaz and Inej

(view spoiler)[ I agree about the not trusting Mattias but I am sure Kaz has something else in mind to keep him in line. I quite liked the story between Mattias and Nina. The reason she betrayed him makes everything so many more shades of gray. She didn't have a good option here although she should have tried to find a better one. Also that they will go against the mission to kill him instead of rescue is not too surprising and again something I feel like Kaz has to expect and have a plan for.
Kaz and his not visiting Inej didn't surprise me but did sadden me for them both. I get it, he doesn't allow himself to care about people but he still does with his wraith and doesn't know how to deal with that so he avoids instead.

I too have enjoyed all the backstory pieces and how well they have been woven into the story so they don't feel like info dumps. (hide spoiler)]

I finished it last night. Loved the various narrators and the whole heist setting.

Hate that Inej was taken, she's probably my favourite character. Love the silent assassin/thief type. Curious how exactly they are going to get her. I know its going to have something to do with Grisha since Kaz is sending a note to the Ravka government. Probably telling them about the parem and what it will do to them.
I liked seeing Mathias and his double cross of the Druskella. Glad he realized that his ways were torturing people and that was never going to be okay. Sad that Nina now has a parem addiction and is wasting away. Hope they can find a cure quickly. The things she could do while on the drug were crazy though. (hide spoiler)]

Same! I read this in 2016 and loved it. It has been my favourite or in my top favourites for years. My reading tastes have changed a lot since then, so I am kind of scared that I won't like it as much!

Yeah, I watched the show. It was great! I can barely wait for the next season. What did you think of the casting? I thought Freddy Carter was a great Kaz.
I read the first two chapters of Six of Crows and it is just as good as I remember, so I am excited to keep reading!
