I didn't do too well with Truthwitch but I might be interested depending on when I get it from the library. It is on order right now but I am number 11 on 7 copies - depends on how fast others read. ;-)

I can easily push it back, so if you wanted to do May (or even June) instead, just let me know. (:

I'm in for this book but I doubt I can read it in April.
I'm going to try and read it in April so that I can also read Book 2 and then Book 3 for an Energy Cell! But very happy to come back to chat about it in May if that's better for others! :)

There is a BOTM discussion if you want to discuss it in there...

That's this month's BOTM, but we never read a book in a series as a group without having read the ones before it as a group. So, in the past we have read book 1 and 2 of the series and have a discussion thread for them in the group. Here is the one for book 1.

Would anybody be interested in a Buddy Read of the third book in the Imperial Radch series,
by Ann Leckie? The first two are past BotM reads for sci-fi. I'm eager to read asap but could do it in January just as a ballpark suggestion, to be discussed in a separate thread if anybody is interested.
Ive been wanting to read Too Like the Lightning by Ada Palmer for a while now. Anyone interested? It can be either January or February depending on preference.

I do want to; maybe late January?

I’ve heard that, too. I plan to take notes on character names when I start it. I think it was a previous BoTM, too. I should look closer at that catch-up challenge.

The catch-up challenge has been a great way to get moving forward and being prepared for the new choices. But boy it seems like most of them are tomes!
People always seem surprised by the size of the books they see me read - but that's just how SFF is! I guess people who don't read those sorts of genres regularly are quite daunted by a 500 page novel, but that's normal to me. They don't seem huge until they hit 800+ pages!
Heard some great things about this self published author's first book: The Rage of Dragons. I am currently reading the Harbinger series but would love to find someone that wants to read it with me. Any takers?

I see it was published by Orbit in June 2019. It's got great reviews. I'm open to a buddy read in Feb or Mar.

The Rage of Dragons Here is the Orbit kindle edition. :) Not self published, so you could also suggest it for Book of the Month. I'm still open for a buddy read though.

So, hi all... kinda new to the buddy read concept, but let's give this a try. :)I know Chasm City has been read with the group already, but I've never read any BOTM, and I'm planning on reading it myself soon. Is someone interested in joining me?
Nikki wrote: "No one? :( Feel free to drop other suggestions as well..."Sorry Nikki, I didn't see your post earlier. I've read a few of his books and enjoyed them, but don't have the time to commit to a buddy read of this one just now. Buddy reads are fun though, and even if you don't find someone to read Chasm City with you, I'm sure you'll enjoy reading something else this way soon :-)

Oh that's alright! I hope I didn't sound too desperate, hihi, I didn't intend to, at least. And thank you! I'll start reading it on my own then, and keep my eye on this topic for other people's requests.

I'm not familiar with that abbreviation... When do you think you're finished?
Started reading it a few weeks ago and didn’t really into it. Got to about p80. Not sure if I’ll continue. Would be interested what you make of it.

Sorry, it's this group's annual team challenge. This year it's Justice Society of America (JSA) Vs Justice League of America (JLA) but in the past we've had things like DC Vs Marvel or similar. It's great fun, I'd really encourage you to give it a try next year 🙂
However, it means that I'll not be done with my challenge reading until the end of the year, so won't be ready for any kind of buddy read until probably February by the time I get through everything else I've put aside while I try to get through Wayland's sneaky extra bonuses 😂

That sounds like a commitment I'm not quite ready for, haha. Good for you though, good luck finishing it! I won't be waiting for you, then. :P
Sorry, it's..."
Oooh, it's been years since I read those! I would but my collected edition is buried in a box somewhere :(

Would anyone be interested in doing a BR for it?”
I might, but I think all my planned books will fill the calendar through May.
