Okay I LOVE Rowan, and I get Maas has to add some sort of romance option for Aelin now that she's sent Chaol packing, but I actually really liked the idea of Aelin and Rowan just being buds in HoF - why can't a guy and girl ever just be buds??

Also it has made me really conflicted because I can't help it, I still love Chaol and I feel as though if he's not redeemed in some way over the next two and a bit books I'll be disappointed, even if Rowan is awesome

Aaanndd I also hate the way both Aelin and Chaol are acting as though they never meant anything to each other...I know this isn't the case, but reading it it kind of feels like Maas got bored with Chaol in book two so decided to bring in a new guy and that's that...as much as I usually hate love triangles, I think I'd probably enjoy the romance between Rowan and Aelin more if it didn't feel so, I don't know, convenient? Maybe that's not the right word...Im really not explaining this properly lol

I just really, really miss the awesome Chaol from books one and two and want him back, even if he's not with Aelin (although I don't want to see him with anyone else either...that really would be too convenient) ...I have a feeling Maas might be setting him up to die though...

Aelin switching the wills was so interesting. I couldn't believe what I was reading! And Aelin really has changed, from Celaena to Aelin, she seems like such a different person. Well, at least Arobynn is dead and they are basically rich.

Okay, I think these chapters were the first ones that were really interesting for me! Seriously, it felt like nothing happened in the first 250 pages :(

So Arobynn is dead! Good! I kind of don't like the "graphic" scenes. It scares me how many people in the story have already killed someone.


And I like Rowan, he keeps the story interesting, but seriously, can Aelin not to want to sleep with everyone?
