Mohammad Ahmad Tigris the sweet river (1)
Do you really forget me?
Tigris the sweet river
Still I mention thee
Tigris my enjoyable life
What had had to thee?
Tigris you muffled my eyes
How can I see?
Tigris the passion I mightily have had
The place often I lightly touch its sand
Didst you really flee?
Tigris my fiery chat
What had to plea?
Tigris where the fresh lovely air
Mayst you harm her?
Her cheek is tender like thy gentle wave
Nor it flows vortically but quietly it does behave
As well as her brownish hair
I think you freely gave to her
Many days we played beside your bank
And we had to get up with the lark
And we have the moon shaded in your water
As a true witness, to each word we madly utter.
Thither we heard the birds' song
And we sat summery nights among
Shrubs triply larger than us
And the bees turn aside and buzz
I wish my eyes saw you before I die.
Perhaps your breeze gives me additional sigh
A virgin's nipple gives us a new birth
A wing of a pigeon comes back and forth
An immortal tone never can be ignored.
A place of lovers: how does it turn stolid?
Tigris the welfare donor
Tigris the place of honour
Didst you really forget me?
Tigris the light that dazzles our sight
Whereto do your birds take flight?
Tigris the everlasting love
Didst you really forget me?
O, braze, I think you are traitor
Why don’t you dispatch me a letter?
But to act savagely as if you are unmeant
As a whirlpool you pass over just as inanimate
O, the sudden shake let me dying there
Then her name will blare in my dead ear.

1- It is a name of one of two main rivers in my country.
My village, which it was situated near to the certain river, had been drowned by the overflowing water because of the dam was there established which replaced all of the rural places alongside the river at 1980s.
Of course, it is my youth period, the period, which I cannot forget, and I am still yearning to the same place.
God forgive
