Books on Shelf (home/own): Um no clue. A few thousand I guess? Or more, never really counted them. I won't even count my manga as books, if I did that I would have more books.

When I lived in Canada, I had around five hundred paperbacks and an unknown amount of hardcover texts. That was a long time ago. My mother passed on seven years ago, and after selling the house, I moved a lot of books to my sister's place. Some I gave away and others I sold.

I've been living in Japan a long time and have no space to stack books. My wife takes up most of it with chests and drawers for her clothes!

I buy 20-30 new hardcopies a month and make up for the rest in ebooks and library books. I lost almost all my books in 2011 so I've been building my collection back up since. Now a majority of them are in storage as I am in the process of moving.

Too many.... i need to have the physical book, the touch,smell,cover,pic ... own thousands ,have a trillion in storage,some in bags still unread, i terrible addict.
I grew up very small town ,little bookshop,i read school library every book by fourth grade, all summer in library club devoured all they had,my Grandmother lived across country sent me packages of books we would write letters and discuss them.Now i cannot go near a shoppe w.o going in,sad at times i read,own most ...my sister bought me netbook for birthday,i still haven't bought any online,a few i ordered had sent to my house or store.I actually cried when Borders closed....

Just walking into a bookstore is like Christmas to me,i could live in there,food,drink,comfy Chairs and books and also love penny press word search garfield my fav and one w.clown on front...even though hate clowns, ny mom always did crosswords i love the word search,i love words in general, wish could make a living reading really.

When i am in bookshoppe i an totally in a another world,guess should b more outgoing,i am twice divorced but honestly don't even know how to do the,would love meet man w.passion for books like me.
