On search it seems the US has a kindle edition of the book however, the UK store doesn't have one. Which I find deeply odd..or am I missing something :P I managed to find the rest of the series yet the first book remains unavailable. It makes little sense to have random parts of the series on kindle but not the series as a whole?

Sparrowlicious Since I never shopped on any other amazon sites than the german one I can offer you, as a fellow European, only the link to the kindle version of this book on the german site (of course the book is in English):

It's only that I don't know if you can still buy it like this or not. But I guess if you can buy from the US store you surely have a credit card or something or you wouldn't have tried, so this should work in some way?

If there isn't a Kindle version in the UK, it's because the publisher who holds the rights for UK distribution hasn't released it for Kindle.

Odds are they haven't seen enough interest in marketing studies to feel justified in putting the work into releasing it. Perhaps finding out who the publisher is and letting them know there's an interest for a Kindle version might be the way to go?

Seldyts If that's the case, then why bother publishing the rest of the series? I don't understand the logic in that!

Marc Nash Because the Kinlde hasn't been invented yet :-)

Antony Can confirm that this is the case for the Australian store too. Always found it deeply annoying when publishers release incomplete book series. I have reading difficulties so appreciate when the narration feature is available on the Kindle books and they’re inconsistent with this feature too. Most of the time they won’t have the narration for the first book in a series yet bizarrely do for the sequels. Example? Game of Thrones didn’t have narration until I brought that up and pestered both Audible and Amazon recently. After so long them not having it they suddenly released it after I told them it was preventing swathes of people from not only purchasing the first book but the whole series? They’re making no sense by releasing books inconsistently and not having the features available for the first and it makes zero sense to say it’s about lack of interest because most buyers are going to naturally start with a first book. Why release that but not the others?

I make a point to pester Amazon and Audible when I don’t see narration for book series or franchises which have narration for the first book and not others or they haven’t even bothered releasing a Kindle version of one book but will have other sequels. It’s such a bugbear of mine!
