Olivia McCloskey (brewingupbooks) Hi everyone! I run a book blog that reviews primarily young adult novels, and I'm currently searching for 1-3 cobloggers. If you're interested and would like to read more, click here: https://brewingupbooks.wordpress.com/...

John | 24 comments Sounds interesting, but you're going to have a problem with the part about proprietary content. I'm not sure how many will want to work under that restriction; even Amazon, Goodreads and Booklikes recognize that the review belongs to the reviewer and it's only licensed so it can be used on their site yet still be pulled at any time. No one's going to want to be told that someone else 'owns' their review.

Olivia McCloskey (brewingupbooks) I would not be assuming ownership of anyone's reviews or work - the reviews would remain entirely those of the reviewer, and the blog would simply be a platform (such as Goodreads or Amazon) for those reviews to be posted.

John | 24 comments Then why does Co-Blogger Requirements read: "You can be a partial or full contributor to another blog, but you may not post the same review, discussion, etc. to multiple blogs."

This says flat out that the review I post on your site can't be posted on any other, including my own. You're laying sole claim to all posts on the blog. Nothing ambiguous about that.

Olivia McCloskey (brewingupbooks) That phrase is included to prevent redundancy across multiple blogs - most book blogs enforce the same policy, not taking ownership of the reviews but asking that they only be posted in one location. The author still retains all rights to the reviews.
