A room of One's Own and Comfort of Strangers.

Melissa, This is an unforgettable book! I know you're going to love it. It's on my all-time favorite books list. I can never forget Kathy and Heathcliff.

I loved that book. I keep meaning to read one of the sequels...
I just started The Reader by Bernhard Schlink.

i've already bought "Ascolta La Mia Voce" by Susana Tamaro, "Through A Glass, Darkly" By Josteein Gaarder, "Breaking Down" by Stephanie Meyer, and "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaleed Hosseini.
Maybe i should start with the thinnest book... :)

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Beloved by Toni Morrison
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
and finishing up: Where Angels Fear to Tread by E.M. Forster
