I love that they're doing horror dolls now. I got the Creature from the Black Lagoon and cute little Pinhead :) I'll have to add Freddy to my collection too.
Welcome, William. I think you will be right at home here.

Rebecca Jaqueline wrote: "The Shining is definitely my favorite! yeah the remake its very disturbing but none of that happened in texas plus it didn't happen with a chainsaw
Hello, I am Daniel and I have never read a horror novel. I am very open to any recommendations. Introduce me to your favorite horror novel! :)
Movies are what got me into horror when I was a child! I still love the "giant bug" movies from the 50's along with the generic slasher films of the 80's. A couple of my favorite films from the past few years are "Martyrs", "Let the Right One In", "Dead Girl" and "The Descent". I've gotten to the point where I like a film that doesn't necessarily follow the same old tropes and might force the viewer into an uncomfortable position.
Welcome, Daniel!Picking favourites is always tricky, but I'd probably go for We Have Always Lived in the Castle

HelloMy name is Nicholas. I have always enjoyed horror/dark fantasy a little more than other genre's of fiction. Ever since i was a little kid, I loved hearing a good ghost story or slasher. My favorite subcategory is horror would be lovecraftian. I am glad to be a part of this community and look forward to being seeing what novels everyone is reading.
Hi, I'm Emily! Sadie told me about this group, and I'm so excited to read with y'all, and learn about more books from everyone!
Hi, my name is Mark and I am ever-hungry Horror Maniac that enjoys extreme and bizzare works beside Stephen King's softcore. :) I am glad to be in this group, I am just not that much of an active participant currently as every free moment I use rather for the reading to be exact then just to write posts online. :) I hope I will not get kicked out because of it. :)
Greetings to all!

I'm sure Horror A is a great book, but anytime I see a clown on the cover, I immediately think that devise has been overused. I only try to be original, Now if you want to read an excellent assortment of short stories, then here is a link you can sink your teeth into: https://payhip.com/b/OWYU

"I'm sure Horror A..."Hello, Jason. In the future please only use the appropriate folders for self promotion purposes.
I jumped over from the Amazon Horror Refugee forum since this place is way more popular. Hopefully Char will vouch for me haha.

I joined to hop..."Like you I have seen a lot of horror movies. To ease myself into the world of horror fiction, i started with short fiction. Stephen Kings collection Nightmares and Dreamscapes and Different Seasons are perfect. If you like more short fiction 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill is great and Blanky a novella from Kealan Patrick Burke is great as well.
