Hi all I'm J.G. I'm a new (ish) horror writer. I've been a member of this group for awhile but I've neglected Goodreads and thought it's about time I showed my face and said hello

Thanks, Charlene. It's great to be amongst fellow horror fans

Hello everyone! My name is Karina. I love horror books and mysteries and psychological thrillers. My favorite author is Stephen King, but i am always open to reading new authors! And my favorite books are Misery by Stephen King and Don't Scream by Wendy Corsi Staub.
Hello to all my adorable HAs from Japan! I like every creepy&bizarre books with nasty twists. Also important is the special mission to export genuine horror novels to my Japanese friends^ ^
I’m really happy to join you all.
Hi all,I've been using Goodreads for a long time to look up books and check out reviews.
I actually joined this summer, created an account, and started tracking my books that I read, and/or want to read.
In the past I've read fantasy, horror, urban fantasy, and the odd mainstream book. I want to start concentrating on horror as I find I enjoy that genre the most but I will also be reading some Urban Fantasy as I loves me some Dresden and Atticus.
I've taken a peek at the previous Group Reads and think that they are fantastic. I started reading The Library at Mount Char on Monday and want to finish it and Horns by the end of November and partake in the group discussions.
I've also taken a peek at some of the forum discussions on potential Monthly Group Reads and there are a lot of great recommendations. I hope to find the time to read some of those as well over the next while.
Anyhoo, just wanted to shout out a big hello from Canada.
Looking forward to meeting you.
Troy
Hey guys, new to Goodreads. Just written a book called The Devil In I. Message me up, will be good to meet some new people on this thing. You can also check out my video blog on youtube: https://youtu.be/-5caJ0bhnm0
Hi, I'm Kylie. I'm from the UK, and have been GR friends with Charlene for a while now. I have huge piles of unread books so didn't really feel the need to join a group, but I've been bored at work during lunch and this group looks really friendly and interesting. I read mainly fantasy, horror and a bit of sci-fi with a sprinkling of historical fiction. The same with my viewing habits.
I might not join in many group reads but I'll join in with discussions when I can. :)
Oh fantastic, its a small world. I cancelled a trip out there for this week. I rescheduled for april. You goin for business? Big fight on at mandalay bay, the town will be nice and busy
Hello everyone,This looks a terrific group! My name is Tarn and I am from Salisbury, near Stonehenge (where the little people dwell). I am a big fan of horror and dark fiction literature, getting my first taste of it with the 'Beaver book of horror' when I was about seven. After that I never looked back (only over my shoulder nervously).
Love all the old classics, Poe, Shelley, the modern classics through to new graphic novel stuff, such as Moore's "From Hell" and Synder's "The Wake".
I was offered a three book publishing deal with Duckworth Overlook last year and my debut, "The Damned", about werewolves on the western front came out in May.
Really looking forward to exploring this group and discussions and getting some recommendations for new books I should read, particularly those of a paranormal angle.
If you want to find out more about me and my books, please do look me up on Good Reads or drop me a line. Love chatting with people who have an obsessive relationship with literature!

Hello, everyone! Russell here.By way of introduction, here's a memory I've been itching to share--
One winter day when I was eight or nine, my dad took me to Waldenbooks to use the gift certificate my aunt sent me, as she did every Christmas. This year, I was looking for something more 'grown-up' than the Beverly Cleary fare I'd been devouring. I went straight to the shelf devoted to the only adult author whose name I knew at that point: Stephen King. Looking at the paperbacks, my first thought was Wow, these look kinda...long. Then I spotted a slim little thing that looked just my size. On the cover was a hairy monster dripping blood from its snout, and the title: Cycle of the Werewolf. I flipped through the pages and discovered, to my delight, that there were pictures. Graphic, gruesome, beautiful pictures. I brought the book to my dad and announced that this was what I wanted. He flipped through it as I had; then, after looking at me for a moment with one raised eyebrow, he said "All right. Just don't tell your mother."
Thus began the corruption that continues to this day.
Thrilled to be joining this group, guys. I look forward to chatting and getting to know you.
And thanks, Dad.
