Thank you! Lovecraft is definitely a personal favorite, I will check out the other two others you mentioned as well! :)
Hi there! I'm Red (real name's Catherine), and I'm getting more and more into horror! In 2018 I hope to discover more disturbing and dark gems!I also hope to take part in group reads, never done that before. :)
Oh, and happy new year!
Hello, I've been on Goodreads for a good amount of time now but now I feel a bit more like opening up and posting in discussions. I probably won't be super active or anything but I look forward to contributing to the occasional discussion.
Hi everyone! I've always enjoyed a good horror story, from a classic ghost story to modern zombie tales. I finished Dust by Joan Frances Turner a few days ago and I just recently started reading classics by Richard Matheson and Graham Masterton....how did I miss these authors over the years?! I'm looking forward to recommendations and discussions in 2018. Happy New Year!
welcom every one , havent been on good reads much the last week or so due to it being christmas , this moroning ive only just read 20 pages or so of it after having a busy week . i hope everyone enjoyed christmas ... i winder if king has done a scary christmas novel yet , know it snows in storm of the century , the stand and IT but i dont recall reading any thing a bout a scary christmas
I can't think of one, off the top of my head, but his son Joe Hill did something sort of Christmas related with NOS4A2
me ive think ive read about 7 , so me too , though this evening im going to restore all of what good reads deleted - the books ive read , the shame of it is , all my start dates and finish dates and reviews will all be down the drain thanks to good reads , sadly it will look like i finished all the books i read on the same day and time witch will look a bit ridiculus
Hello everybody! My name is Yazmeen but most people call me Yaz. I've been in love with horror for as long as I can remember.
I live in a small town in Texas with two cats and my husband. He's not into horror but he has other redeeming qualities that make up for that.
I enjoy reading so much that I became a teacher, and I enjoy horror so much that I started a podcast with my best friend from high school called Don't Go in There.
I'm excited to connect with others that share a passion for all things books and spooky related.
Here's to a great new year!

Looking forward to 2018 and all the new book discoveries to come!

Well, "Dont Go in There" is an interesting name for a friend from high school for sure! Welcome, Yaz, and may your stamina never fail!

I'm Matt Converse of San Francisco, an author of three books to date. My latest was my first full bore horror release. I have loved horror since watching scary movies as a kid with my Mom on Friday nights. Until my latest release I was better known as an erotic romance m/m author although there is a little horror in my first two books as well. My idols are Stephen King and Alfred Hitchcock.
Hi Matt and Rebecca! Rebecca; I think you will really like Barker and Gaiman! Clive Barker's early short storiess are more horror oriented, while his early novels such as "Weaveworld" and "The Damnation Game" have a more fantasy feel to them. Two of my favorite novels are Gaiman's "Neverwhere" and "Good Omens" (which he wrote with Terry Pratchett)
Hi all, I'm Hannah and I live in Portsmouth UK. I've always loved horror since reading The Stand, Stephen King in my early years. I'm an avid King fan but am currently branching out and have some splatterpunk books on my Kindle to read.

My books are set, partially, along the South coast but I have to confess...mainly in Southampton! Don't hold it against me. ha ha
Hi everyone, my (pen) name is Elka. I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I've been lurking around here for a while, but a chronic case of the "shys" has kept me from introducing myself and posting. I've been a fan of horror since I was a teenager. Like many of you guys, Stephen King was my first brush with the genre -- Salem's Lot is one of my favourite books! I've been writing for a while, though under a different name. I'm reading Metro 2033 right now but I have Swan Song by Robert McCammon up next.
Hey Elka (pen name), no need for the shys up in here! It's like a no judgement zone for readers... Although, internally I do judge some people based on what I see on their TBRs.. I'm working on that in the New Year! Probably as much as I work on my abs...
