Hi I'm a newbie, obviously. I join this group for great recommendations. :D (idk what to say so I'm putting an emoticon)
Hi All!I'm Faye, I am an indie author and I have just released my debut novel which is a spine tingling ghost story!
I am new to the Good Reads community, after joining the bookstagram community on instagram I have picked up many good recommendations for new reads and I am looking for some more. One of my favourite genres is horror and I have joined the group to pick up some recommendations, because apart from the obvious best sellers, I sometimes find it difficult to find new horrors to read!
I am looking forward to connecting with everyone and reading everyones suggestions!

Hello! :3 My name is Ami. I really enjoy reading and I love all kinds of horror- movies and tv, books, toys, decor, old radio programs from the 30’s and 40’s, comics, etc. Not a huge fan of slasher themes, but just about on board with everything else. I love horror books <3 and I’m always digging around used book stores to find horror titles from the 70’s and 80’s. I really like ghosts and zombies, but I am a huge sucker for anything creature feature, especial sea monsters. Giant killer crabs, leeches, dolphins, squid, storks, shark, bugs, rabbits, slugs, dinosaur? YES PLEASE!!!! I love the crazy b-movie stories the most. I have no problems with insane gore and violence or if men, women, or children get killed, but if the pets get killed, I’m not reading it, getting rid of the book and taking points away from the rating. I feel I would do pretty well in a zombie apocalypse. If my husband gets bitten, I know what to do, but if my bunny gets bitten and turns, well, I’m a goner. -.-;
Hello, all. I realized I hadn't introduced myself yet. My name is Sarah and I only got into reading Horror last year, but since then it's been one book after another. I'm a huge Stephen King and Joe Hill fan, but I'm looking to branch out. I'm really enjoying the group so far. Thanks!

My name is Mark and I live in central Massachusetts. I do allot of reading, including the horror genre. I have a couple of jobs that have a good amount of "downtime" and I am lucky enough to get some reading in during work hours. I love reading books on my Kindle devices but also will pick up a good old fashioned paper book (nothing like that smell of a good book).Other genre's that I prefer are mystery, sci-fi, and humor. I am a fan of the short-story format and recommend the Best American series.
Favorite authors include Stephen and Owen King, Joe Hill, Robin Cook, and John Grisham.
Besides books, I also enjoy me a good horror MOVIE.
I have 2 cats, one of which never fails to walk across my book when I am reading in bed.
I work as a manager of a LIBERTY TAX office and a 2nd job at a hospital as a non-medical professional.
Don’t think I introduced myself yet? But if I didn’t! I’m Joan! I’m a horror loving lesbian, that is always looking for more things to watch and read!
Welcome Joan, Ami, Sarah, Ivan, and everyone else I didn't mention by name--quite a few new people on HA! I hope everyone finds some great reads and discussions to get involved in! :)
Hello ladies and gents, I've been a member of the group for a few weeks now but only really getting the chance to have a good look around. I'm a relatively new author of dark thrillers and non-paranormal horror but they, along with historical fiction, are also my main go-to reading genres of choice. I'm looking to be an active member. Thanks
Lee
