Hello all! I have been a horror fan since I was a kid, but I am new to Goodreads groups.I grew up on the 80's movies and reading authors like Stephen King, Clive Barker, Edgar Allan Poe, etc. As a poet/writer and music artist, my work is greatly inspired by my love of horror. Recently, I have been reading newer authors plus trying to read many classics I have missed along the way. Maybe this group will help with that.

Hello everyone. My name is Jess. I have been on Goodreads for a while now, but just started joining groups, which I love ! My wife and I live in a small town in Missouri with four puppies. We are currently preparing to foster children with special needs. You'd think it would cut down on my reading but I've found myself reading MORE, with all the waiting games there are when it comes to fostering. (Dr appointments, iep, etc) this group seems awesome. Hi, I'm Rachel. I'm a fan of all things horror, though I don't read as much of it as I should.
I tend to get dragged into long epic fantasies and would like to find short & scary stories to read in the long breaks in between book series.
Just finished Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere universe. Currently reading The Shining and feeling underwhelmed by it. (I'm so surprised because I adore the movie.)
Favorites include the Dune, Mistborn & Hannibal series, as well as Carrie Savages & some select Neil Gaiman.
I use too much punctuation and I read super quickly when I'm into the book :) I love recommendations, I'm always looking for a new world to get lost in.

Hi everyone! I'm Trevor from Edinburgh and I'm a big fan of horror – or, more precisely, terror. I prefer subtle fear to blood 'n'guts. Novels are good but my real passion is for short stories; 600 page doorstoppers don't do much for me.My tastes have changed over the years. I used to prefer stories about 'broken people', these days I'm more interested in supernatural themes. Maybe that's the result of having spent several years as a guide on underground ghost tours...
I also write and have recently self-published my first short story collection on Kindle.

Basically, I can never get enough horror to read, or find anyone to talk about horror with. I am searching for that really chilling book that disturbs even me. Anyway...hiya.
