Hi everyone I'm Elizabeth and I just found out about this group today.what can I say about me.I love to read( you could say I'm a bookworm at heart},and even though I'm 38 years old I love to watch old classic black and white syfy movies from the 20s, 30's,40's, 50's and 60's(which I got into by watching with my dad while I was going up},playing with my dogs{ Mia a black lab and boxer mixed(had her now for 3 years),Freddy (a black lab and retriever mix{had him only for 2 years now) and our newest member of our family Spooky{she's still a puppy, she's terrier and border collie mixed) .She was born on Halloween 2014 and we got her on Dec.11,2014) and talking to my lovebird Alchemy.
Hello everyone, I'm Slater. I joined this group because I love Horror, obviously, and this seemed like the best group to join. I'm not that social so I don't know what my comment activity will be like, but I look forward to reading your opinions and checking out your recommendations. Am I the only one who's excited that Halloween is just around the corner???
Hello! I'm Jodi from England. New to Goodreads and this is my first group.. Seemed like a perfect place for me to start as I love horror =)
Thank you all!Ashley, absolutely! I haven't decided which out of these three: Louise Belcher as Edward Scissorhands, Harley Quinn from the animated series(my daughter wants to be Poison Ivy), or Cesare from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. If my daughter doesn't change her mind I'll end up choosing Harley over the others. We'll see. Have you decided yet?
Sonya, If I had plans to get married, I too would choose that date. I imagine it was quite a party!
*Hugs Jodi from England* Welcome!
Hope I didn't invade your personal space beyond your comfort level. *Tugs at collar*
Slater, I'm going as Alice from American McGee's Alice. Maybe more of an obscure costume. I love the idea of Caligari, that's awesome!

Hello everyone! My name is Margaret, and I am 25 years old. My favourite horror/thriller writers are Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, John Saul, and Dean Koontz. I read anything and everything, and love to talk about books all the time. My day just isn't complete without reading a chapter or two. ;)
Hi, I'm Tim. Also, a writer and voracious reader of everything, including a lot of horror. Love King, and his particularly his influences like Matheson. Also, a big Lansdale fan. Glad to be a part of the group.
Hello, my name is Angela! I really enjoy Horror/Thriller/Paranormal movies and books. I have been finally taking some time to get back into reading and have read several Straub, Jackson and King recently. I love books that can scare me and recently I haven't been able to find any (Great books just not scary). If there is any suggestions I am open to it. I look forward to being apart of this group.
Off topic and was unsure where to post. I am thinking of getting an ereader which is better Nook or Kindle?
Angela wrote: "Off topic and was unsure where to post. I am thinking of getting an ereader which is better Nook or Kindle?"I would get a tablet and you can add those apps to it. I have/had a nook and it was very limited what you can do with it. With a tablet you can use it for other things and still use it as a reader. Also with the apps you have the best of Kindle and Nook.
Angela wrote: "Off topic and was unsure where to post. I am thinking of getting an ereader which is better Nook or Kindle?"For a pure e-reader Kindle Paperwhite is the way to go for two main reasons. The first is eye strain. No tablet or Nook on the market has the non glare technology of the Paperwhite. The second is the amount of books available on kindle. The Nook is fine with current releases, but for past catalogues from writers that aren't well known forget it. My old Nook is just a dust collector now since I bought my Paperwhite.
Hey guys! I'm a big horror fan (weird tales/zombie/suspense) looking to meet likeminded sorts! I'm new to Goodreads and happy to be here!
Hi Bill. I see you're currently reading Finders Keepers. Are you liking it so far? I loved Mr. Mercedes and I'm looking forward to checking out the follow-up, though I have trouble imagining what it could possibly be about, considering how the first one ended...
