Hello, horror aficionados! I'm Michael and, yes, I'm a horror author, but I'm a reader more than anything. Otherwise, why write? Quiet, deeply creepy horror and weird fiction are my favorites--it's best when those two things overlap.I live in Atlanta, Georgia. My debut fiction collection, Greener Pastures, was published a couple of months ago by Shock Totem. Books I've read recently are End of Watch by Stephen King (a compulsively readable book that I was mostly satisfied by) and Rustication by Charles Palliser (excellent Gothic-styled whodunit). My favorite authors are Flannery O'Connor, Robert Aickman, King, Laird Barron, Ramsey Campbell, and David Mitchell.
I look forward to getting recommendations and recommending some things myself. Thanks for having me!
Hi Michael,Welcome aboard, I had a look at the preview of your book - looks interesting.
Well done.
Cheers Graeme

Hello everyone 8 )I'm really not all that interesting. I'm a big hippie who works as a server in a bar and my current social life mostly involves my cats. Don't get me wrong, I have family and friends who are dear to me but I've been of a single minded obsession these past days once. Specifically... and I'm not here to spam so I will only say this once... I'm writing a series of dystopian zombie novels for young adults. I come home from work, poor a glass of scotch and write my books. That's my life. Sometimes I'll read a bit or listen to the news but that's it. I'm five done and two more to go so hopefully I can get back some semblance of normalcy soon. Oh, I'm also quite fond of the movie Frozen... 8 )
Hi! I'm Gully. I'm from London. I tend to read books from most genres. I love a good scare, hence I joined this group! In regards to the horror genre, I particularly like Stephen King's books, and The Exorcist. I'm looking forward to participating in the bookclub reads. :-)
Hey :)New here.
People call me Cat Attack sometimes and I've been reading Stephen King since I was about 11 or 12. In the past couple of years I've branched out to other horror/thriller authors such as Peter Straub, Tabitha King, and Andrew Neiderman. In the past few months I've been branching out of the horror genre a little because my parents are slightly concerned about me from reading such dark and grotesque subjects in books. The fact that I hope to one day be a medical examiner only escalates their concern.
Eric KapitanHello there!
I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Eric and I love Horror. Favorite authors are Clive Barker, Jack Ketchum and Edward Lee. I am a self published author writing fiction and poetry.
Hello, I'm Marissa. I've been reading Stephen King since I was 10 years old and I've always had an interest in horror books, movies, and video games. I'm looking forward to finding some new good reads here and getting to know people!
Hi Marissa,I read your Twilight review - it was very entertaining, well done.
Welcome to the group.
Cheers Graeme

Hello, my name is Kasey and I've been a horror fan for as long as I can remember. I was introduced to Dracula and Frankestein via graphic books that had been miss-shelved in the children's area when I was 5 or 6 and I've never looked back. Looking forward to coming across recommendations for new and classic horror. I'm currently reading Usher's Passing and listening to The Eaton.
Nice to meet y'all!
