Hey, I'm Erwin. I've been a big fan of horror for the longest time, but mainly with video games, movies, and creepypastas. I hope I can find more horror novels worth reading from this group since I always have trouble finding good books.
Welcome to our band of misfits, Erwin. You have come to the right place. Since joining a few years ago, my problem has went from not being able to find a good book to not being able to find enough time to read all the great books that I've found through here!

I think its not possible for me to live long enough to read them all. Wonderful problem.
I'm new here.. I'm Kelsey. Horror is definitely my favorite genre. I have a long list of to-reads but it seems I'm disappointed by most. I mean, I've read plenty of GOOD books.. just none that have actually scared me. I figured I'd join the group to get more recommendations. I'm currently reading The Twelve by Justin Cronin. I have a ton of books out from the library right now.. a lot of which come highly recommended (The Talisman, Nighshift, Neverwhere, The Terror, NOS4A2, Horns, Red Dragon).. so we'll see!
Of the many horror books I've read my top picks so far are probably The Ritual, and Ghost Story. House of Leaves was creepy for a while but I eventually got super bored.
Hi everyone :)
Hi Kelsey...I liked Passage quite a bit. The sequel, The Twelve, is pretty good. Ghost Story is one of my favorite scary books. I don't think I've read The Ritual, so I'll check it out. There is a list here in the group of 101 Horror Books that are highly recommended. I am going to work my way through them. Welcome Kelsey.
Oops.. my bad.. I actually meant to say I'm reading The Twelve right now! lol I just commented on another thread about The Passage so I guess I had it on the brain. :)
Thanks for the welcome!
I'll read anything but I'm partial to haunted houses, paranormal, ghost story, evil entity type horror. Anything supernatural I guess. Not a big fan of realistic type stuff.. so bad guys/serial killers not usually my thing.
Thanks for all the welcomes! :)
Hi all. Just a joined the group. I love horror everything, and I'm on a big Stephen King kick in life lately. I love other works of horror too and look forward to recommendations and discussions!!!
Hey everyone. New to the group and hoping to engage in some insightful horror novel discussions as well as get some suggestions for new and frightening reads!
Hello, my name is Fonda I am the author of the Emptiness series soon to be rereleased. I write about serial killers. Fictional serial killers suspense books. I have been writing since I was a kid. I love reading horror genre books and writing them.
Hi. I'm Violette. I'm a thriller/horror writer. I love all things supernatural. Nice to meet you all!

Hello......my name is Josen (pronounced like Jasen, except with an "O") :). I used to read horror a lot but strayed away for quite a long time. (it started affecting my dreams, lol!) I do like the genre so I specifically searched for a horror group and came across this one. I want to read some good horror again. I just have to read other stuff in between. Lol! I voted on the March poll but I'm looking forward to whatever books win. :)
Hi there, I'm will. I've been a horror reader since I was young. Currently writing horror.I'll probably lurk quite a bit, but I thought I'd say, 'Hello!'
Howdy! I'm Nicole Cushing, and I'm a horror/dark fiction author. I live in southern Indiana (though I was born and raised in Maryland). Two of my books were recently nominated for Bram Stoker Awards. (MR. SUICIDE was nominated in the First Novel category and THE MIRRORS was nominated in the Fiction Collection category.)I live with my hubbie and our cat (Jasmine, aka Jazzy). I love horror fiction, love connecting with readers, and love talking about books. My favorite authors are Jack Ketchum, Thomas Ligotti, and Leonid Andreyev.
I also enjoy hanging out in nature. Southern Indiana is the home of some phenomenal state parks, and hiking is one of my favorite activities out here.
Looking forward to getting to meet some interesting folks here.
