Sorry, fixed the typo. I’m typically online on my iPad, I type too quick for my own good sometimes!
Hi everyone. I joined the group a couple of days ago and have been creeping around because I'm a terribly awkward and apparently antisocial type, and just kind of wanted to break the ice for myself. I've never been a big horror movie fan but after picking up my first Dean Koontz book on accident I feel in love with the genre, even if i cant stomach the stuff on film. I picked up Craven Manor after seeing it floating around here and absolutely loved it, and honestly cant wait to get to know you guys and a lot of the great books around here better.
Sorry I type too much but thanks so much guys. (:
Hi, Holly! Your start with horror sounds exactly like mine, re: the movies vs books. :D I just started Craven Manor and am glad to hear that you enjoyed it so much.
Welcome Holly! A lot of us are antisocial in person--that's what makes groups like this such a wonderful place to connect. :_
Hi Everyone,i've loved horror since i was a child. my first horror fiction love were the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series. no matter how many times i had those read to me, i got scared everytime. i was hooked on horror ever since. i'm looking forward to having some great discussions with you all.
Welcome to the group Holly! I'm newly joined myself & trying to find my way around all the topics. Hoping to meet lots of new horror pals here!

Welcome to HA Carleton. I’m trying to catch up on my much neglected movie watching. Last night I watched The Autopsy of Jane Doe. I liked its craziness.

Hi, folks. I'm selling my newly published short story, Insular, for cheap prices worldwide. If anyone's interested in a good read that topped the UK Amazon Best Seller's List in less than a week, grab a copy. The book blurb can be found people. ‘Remember now, the others and I were working people, working to get by, month to month. They keep their heads down and push through, and when they can, they dream.
Their dreams are an escape. That wasn't possible with Julian stalking the aisles, his ever-grey pallor, his wasted figure serving as a reality check. That's what was scary.
When there were no dreams anymore.’
Julian Kensi is about to start his first day in retail.
What he doesn’t know is that to his supervisor, Peter Smith, he is just another pawn to be used in his rise to the top. That is until Julian begins to act strangely.
As Peter attempts to learn more, his ruthless methods cause events to take a macabre turn beyond control.
Insular a short story about one man’s life-long fear and regret. It’s a story about obsession, the power of a person’s imagination, and the terrible consequences once this imagination has been unleashed. It is perfect for fans of Stephen King, Dean Kootnz, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Joe Hill, H.P Lovecraft and Shirley Jackson.

Welcome.
Hi everyone,I'm Craig from Canada and new to goodreads. I'm a huge fan of the horror genre ever since I accidentally saw Nightmare on Elm Street as a kid. I've only become an avid reader a year ago so I have some major catching up to do. I'm a huge fan of all the classic horror films and even a good chunk of the b movies (guilty pleasure). Feel free to add me as a friend.
P.S.
I never believed in the paranormal until I was haunted in my early twenties for about a 1/2 year by my deceased next door neighbour.

When I was nine I tricked my dad into renting Nightmare on Elm Street for my brother and I to watch. Not one of the smartest moves I've ever made.
