Hello, everyone. I'm a horror lover / aspiring writer. 2015's notable moments for me were winning David Wellington's Fear Project fiction contest as a horror competitor, meeting Mark Danielewski, and finishing my first novel-length manuscript. I love to talk horror, so feel free to shoot me some words anytime.
Hi I’m Renee – I’m an avid reader particularly of horror and crime fiction - currently torturing myself by attempting to write my first novel! Always looking for new recommendations to read. I’ve been lurking for some time – thought it was time to say hello
Good evening. I've been a fan of horror since I was five years old. My two favorite horror writers are Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I also enjoy reading poetry by Poe. I also write short stories, fan fiction, and poetry. I look forward to meeting all of you.
Hi my name is Kevin, I love horror movies (The Exorcist 3 is my favourite) and books (Stephen King, James Herbert). Currently finishing off '...Bazaar of Bad Dreams' and looking forward to the discussion.
Hello, I'm Nettie. I love books and reading, but stopped reading as often due to so much going on with school and college and work. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things and start reading again! I grew up watching horror movies and thus it is one of my favorite genres. One of my favorite horror authors is David Moody. I have ,both, his Autumn and Hater series in my collection. One of my favorite manga authors is Junji Ito (a true horror master)!P.S. -I love writing short stories and drawing my own characters!
Hi there! I've never been really active in this website before, but i first saw this group and i decided to join. I love Poe, and i´m recently reeding some vampire related literature (new concept for me), so this lecture group seems to show up just in the right time for me. Anyway, i hope to find out some interesting books in here in order to develop, a little bit more, this dark and impish side of mine. Cheers!!
Hi all!My name is Kate. :)
I've been on Goodreads for a while now but usually just use it to update my book lists and keep track but I really want to get more into group reading and discussion. I read a lot of genres but I find horror is a difficult one for me. I think that I don't scare very easily ( or maybe I'm reading the wrong horror books!) I really enjoyed The Revelation and it's one of the few horrors I have read that has made me a bit wary of nipping to the loo in the dark! I like a lot of Stephen King and some of Dean Koontz and Herbert's The Magic Cottage was good, little weird, but good. I think I'm picky with my horror... I don't know. But yeah, I wanted to join in and hopefully be able to get some good recommendations from all of you so I can get some good chills!
I look forward to meeting you all!
Hi! I'm Jane. I'm from Sioux Falls. I am addicted to the thrill of good horror, in movies, but especially in writing. I am always looking to read the often overlooked talent in indy authors. That's how I ended up on Goodreads - best place in the world to find them.Got into horror through Lovecraft, Poe, and King.
Nice to meet you all!

Hi Sophie! Nice to meet you! Pet Sematary and Amityville Horror II have such eerie music in them that it's hard to watch them, so I totally get it!
I'll keep an eye out for good ghost stories (just read White Child in the Wood and it was freaky as hell). I love zombie horror, would love any suggestions - always looking for the gems I've missed!
Thanks!
