(view spoiler)[I am still undecided about Manon. She's tough, but something about her makes me think that she isn't just a witch. That deep down there is something substantial there. At least I hope so. =P I think that Elide will make things interesting as well.

I haven't gotten to the part with Aedion yet, but that does sound odd. I don't know though. They are related and they used to be best friends. They haven't seen each other in a decade. Then again, their parents talked about them getting married before shite hit the fan in Terrasen. I guess it isn't that uncommon for cousins to be romantically involved in fantasy and historical fiction, though I don't think that is what is going on here. I haven't gotten to that part with Aedion's reaction about the blood oath yet, but I can't wait! It sounds like he may be jealous. He practically worships Aelin, so having another man essentially take his place in that regard is probably not settling well with him. (hide spoiler)]

I have not read Assassins Blade yet. I was going to read it before I started this one, but I had to jump right in. =P I think that I may start reading it alongside Queen of Shadows though. Just so that I can get some of those backstories. You've already read it, right? I was going to see if anyone wanted to buddy read it with me, but so far no takers.

Ok I'm done. What a roller coaster (view spoiler)[ so glad chaol is alive and Dorians back. Also glad the king is dead. Is arobyns ghost still alive and haunting? I don't think the valg is in Perrington. I think Dorians brother since we didn't see much of him. Honestly i think Sarah j mass could have ended the series with this book...but she didn't so there's more to come. My prediction is aelin will end up with Dorian. Her cousin will die somehow and Rowen will take off somewhere. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I am so glad that Dorian didn't die! I adore him so much! Manon really started to grow on my at the end. I still hope that she turns out good instead of bad. I loved Elide. She was so strong and I really hope that things work out for her. I also love Lysandra. I really thought that she and Aedion would end up together, but it didn't happen. I guess I can dream about it though. =P I was also wondering about Dorian's little brother. He was such a horrible person. I also had the thought that perhaps Arawan was inside him. Chapter 8(view spoiler)[ I was honestly expecting more from Chaol. He made so much progress when he decided to take the rebel's side. But he's clearly letting his feelings affect how he's reacting to Aelin (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 26(view spoiler)[ I just don't get why Chaol's having such a hard time accepting Aelin. Everyone seems to have accepted who she is and what she does: Lysandra, Nehemia, Dorian, Rowan, Aedion and maybe even Nesryn. (hide spoiler)]

Is anyone else kind of sad that Arobynn's about to die or I'm assuming he will soon if Aelin's plans all work out. Chapter 47: (view spoiler)[ Wow that was super dark. WHERE WAS THAT CELAENA IN BOOK 1?! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the first book but this Celaena was no where near what we just saw in this chapter. This Celaena actually matches the crazy heartless assassin everyone's afraid of. (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[ I really like it. Actually I enjoyed it more than the other tog books, except maybe crown of midnight but they're close. I'm glad that this one was faster and to the point unlike Heir of Fire. Things didn't really start happening in that book till the halfway through. The only issue I had with this one was that it was too long for me. There were still parts of the book where I feel like it dragged and then a lot of things were rushed in the end. I'm worried for the 5th book though. A lot of things were concluded in this book. Honestly, I didn't think they would defeat the king in this book considering there's 2 more books to go. I did like the ending to this book and what happened with the king but I was also disappointed. The king has been known as the big evil guy for so long and his defeat just seemed too fast. I was hoping for a full on war with the king and then his defeat but I guess we'll see that with perrington. What did you guys think of the book? What are your thoughts for the next one? I have finished the book a couple of days ago and i thought it was good, for me it wasn't amazing but i did enjoy it more towards the end. It started really slow for me but towards the end i couldn't put it down. It wasn't my favorite book in the series but i still liked it.
