Chapters 11-25: (view spoiler)[ AELIN IS SO BADASS! I literally love her. Although, I do miss Rowan a ton ): Arobynn is definitely not to be trusted still, I hope she kills him in this book. Lysandra is also great, a lot better then she was in The Assassins Blade! I really like her in this one. Rescuing Aedion was just awesome too! Poor Dorian though..... He still sees everything happening, and he's still in there!!! Manon is still awesome as always. Elide is an interesting character too. Loving it so far! (hide spoiler)]

Dorian was able to talk himself when she was there. Very excited to see what happens with that! I'm so glad my baby Rowan didn't die!!! That fight scene with Aelin and Manon was intense!! It's so weird how he can make her cry so easily. And still no actually lovers tiff between Chaol and Aelin. I want that to hurry up. Good of Chaol to go to Nesryn's house though when he needed help. 54%. (view spoiler)[ This is definitely an unpopular opinion but I really like the conflict between Aelin and Chaol. They're both so frickin stubborn and idk, I just find it fascinating. Chaol is being a complete and total butt, but he is also justified in some points. But he really should know that Aelin is still something of the girl he was in love with, and that she's not going to burn down a city full of innocent people. When I first read QoS I hated it because I just wanted them to make up already! But now looking at the broader story I think it makes a lot of sense for both their characters and the direction of the series.
Chaol is definitely one of my favourite characters and I just love reading about his inner turmoil. My poor son.
On a side note I don't particularly like the growing attraction between Rowan and Aelin. Sam > Chaol > Rowan. (Not sure if I'd put Dorian before or after Rowan...)

Also - Lysandra!! One of the best plot twists of this series is Lysandra being a shapeshifter! (hide spoiler)]

I don't mind her having different relationships as time progresses, but I adored the friendship that grew in HoF and I'm just disappointed in this direction. I don't know of any extra material for QoS, are you meaning EoS? I'm sure they're online somewhere, but I haven't gone looking myself as I haven't read EoS yet. Tumblr would definitely be a good place to look. Or just give it a google search. :)

75% through now, so hard to put the book down! (view spoiler)[ The fight between Aelin and Manon was craaazy. Honestly though...Why did Aelin provoke them? That seemed like a really dumb thing to do, throwing in their faces that she is already a witch killer. I guess Aelin is pretty arrogant haha. But it seemed like Manon was going to let them go - Then again Aelin wouldn't have believed that for a second.
I love how Aelin ended up saving Manon's life, though, it was a bit weird for that change of heart. Still, I'm definitely glad she did. (hide spoiler)]

Review: This was holy woah. Incredible!!!!! Especially the last half! It's like Heir of Fire, in that regard, because I powered through the last half of that one. I actually read 45% of this one yesterday. It started getting late, and I knew I should sleep, yet it was at the (view spoiler)[really epic battle scene at the end, (hide spoiler)] and there was no way I could stop. Even though I still had 90 pages to go and I knew it'd take me longer than an hour, there was no putting it down. So I read it and suffered this morning, but it was worth it. So much stuff happened, and (view spoiler)[Roland was brought back for a few scenes. Took me a while to remember who he was :p, and Elide as well. I recognised her name, and my friend pointed out that she was Marion's daughter. I got such a shock to find out Marion was a Blackbeak, therefore making Elide one too! She's nothing like the Thirteen! (hide spoiler)] So heartbreaking to hear about (view spoiler)[Asterin's past and her lover, and Grandmother beating her for falling in love. (hide spoiler)] Also crazy that (view spoiler)[Aelin saved Manon, all because of the heart-wrenching pain in Asterin's scream. Glad that this book finally swapped her from Celaena to Aelin as well. (hide spoiler)] And (view spoiler)[Arobynn died!!! And Lysandra's a shapeshifter! And Aedion's Gavriel's son! And Lorcan's on their side? What!? And that Dorian was freed, and they freed magic! (hide spoiler)] That last spoiler has a whooole lot of shocking things in it, and it's just so crazy. It all happened so fast! But one thing I really enjoyed was (view spoiler)[Rowan and Aelin getting together :) I could sense something brewing even from the start. Strange that nothing remained between Chaol and Aelin though. (hide spoiler)] On the love interests: (view spoiler)[So now Aelin's with Rowan, Chaol's with Nesryn, Dorian had Sorscha, and it wouldn't surprise me if Lysandra and Aedion got together. (hide spoiler)] So much has changed throughout this series, and it's incredible! Can't wait to read the fifth one!

Oh, this glorious series! Well, here are some thoughts so far.

(view spoiler)[Chaol is so angsty! I just hate the way I felt while reading the reunion between him and Celaena/Aelin. He was such an arse, and I really don't want a falling out between them. They have been through so much together, so I hope that their friendship can last.

Arobynn was thoroughly creepy. . .

I am still so heartbroken over Dorian! OMG, he MUST be saved! And Aedion as well, for that matter. I adored Aedion in Heir of Fire. He really made an impression on me and I hope that they are able to rescue him! (hide spoiler)]
