Oh man, I started this book a day or two earlier. But one of my ships is officially at the bottom of the ocean. UGH!!! It is a tad slow at the beginning but once you hit page 200, it gets soo good~ I don't know if everyone else feels the same.

@Ash Yeah, maybe because I was annoyed with Chaol. I also find the witch chapters boring. They are less bothersome now with the new events but it still feels like reading two books at the same time. As for Rowan, don't worry lol

lol yes, Chaol is currently on my dislike list! I just skip over the witches or well I should say I skim through it I don't hardly take much interest in them at all.

Haha! Same here. Every time a new chapter starts and I see it's a witch chapter, I just roll my eyes and think "well here we go again..." Hopefully in the next book we won't have them since I assume they entire cast will meet. Although I don't know yet since I haven't finished the book :)

(view spoiler)[ Well, Elide is officially the redemption of the witch chapters. I still don't like them though. I want to read more about Aedion and Rowan's 'pissing match' LOL! So funny! I love those two. However, I have to say that Rowan as a characters seems very different from the one we met in Heir of Fire. Did stuff happen over those weeks we didn't see him that triggered this change? Maybe we will find out more in the other book. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ OMG! Roland and Kaltain!!!!! She is so bad-ass! OMG!! Is she related to Aeilin? What is this shadowfire? Plus Chaol...oh Chaol you dumbass. It took you most of the book to finally notice that Aelin was right! UGH!!! What happened to him in this book?! I feel he was just shoved aside as a character for Rowan to take over as Aelin's main love interest. *shrugs* I am not complaining because it ROWAN but I feel like he could have stayed the adorable character we knew and still have their relationship come to an end. UGH...I guess this means more witch chapters.... Also, that scene with Dorian and Aelin. HOLY BOOK GODS! It was so epic!!! *fangirls* I loved this book!!! I can't wait to see how she rebuilds her kingdom and how Dorian continues on. Poor guy is going to be all alone in his castle. I'm reading too! I'm only on page 40 so far and atm I'm having some Chaolaena feels but I'm gonna assume from the above comments that they're not going to last long. I'm also sad that the witch chapters seem boring because I really enjoyed Manon in the last book!

That's good! That means maybe they get even better! I love the whole dragon thing, so I think that is one of the reasons why I like the witches. Also because the hierarchy within the tribes and covens is interesting to me.

Chapter 25: (view spoiler)[ YES ELIDE YOU CLAIM THAT WITCH HERITAGE GURLFRAAND. She is also the rightful Lady of Perranth, so that, i think, is going to be a VERY interesting plot point in the story further on. She may the catalyst that holds Terrasen and the witches together as maybe allies? I feel like Manon is going to get away from allying with the Adarlan king and maybe help Aelin. Plus Aelin is the one who is gonna get the magic back. OO SO EXCITED ABOUT ALL THE THINGS THAT HAVENT HAPPENED YET! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 68: (view spoiler)[ OK ok so I love the Blackbeak storyline. I think it's so cool and I think they'll both end up coming together so well. I love that Manon's eyes help against the Valg and that that's what helps Dorian resist. I can't wait to see what happens with that. I am also surprisingly completely ok with Chaol and Celaena not being romantically paired up any more. I've jumped ship to Team Rowan now, anyway.

So I've had to stop reading right as they enter the castle to take down the tower. I'm so nervous about what's going to happen because of have a good 20% left of the book and I feel like so far things have being going pretty well, so I'm sort of just waiting for the King to smack down and ruin everything. :( (hide spoiler)]

I feel that it's not Dorian and Chaol's fault that they became really boring in this book. Actually, it's like Sarah J. Mass butchered them as characters as soon as Rowan entered the series. And I'm very angry with her about this. DX

OMG I so agree with you about (view spoiler)[Kaltain. (hide spoiler)] I wish we knew more of her backstory.

(view spoiler)[ God I loved this. The ending was epic and everything about it in both storylines was so cool. Kaltain at Morath turning into a total vengeful (and rightly so) badass. I'd totally have done the same in her situation. The battle in Rifthold was stressful but so great with all the twists and turns that happened.

I can't wait to see what happens with Manon in the next book. I also feel like she is going to become allied with Aelin (especially now that she has a Blackbeak blood connection with the court of Terrasen through Elide, the rightful Lady of Perranth). (hide spoiler)]
