(view spoiler)[Not much has happened in these first hundred pages, but I'm excited to know how they gonna solve everything. I'm liking Aelin, but Chaol is irritating me a little bit (but I understand why he has changed and is more tough and serious). It's breaking my heart to see Dorian under the influence of that necklace and being controled by a demon. I didn't like Manon on the first chapters of Heir of Fire (it was a struggle to go through those chapters as well), but after a while I ended up really enjoying her storyline and I can't wait to see how her character is going to evolve, because she must be important to have a point of view. Also Aedion's rescue was a nice chapter, though I thought it would be a bit more difficult to get him out of there. Chaol is being very stubborn, I sort of understand that he wants to give a chance for Dorian to recover (and I think he will), but he's also being kinda selfish. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ So many things happened in this book, and I really enjoyed reading it, but I also feel like it was longer than it needed to be, because it focuses more on secondary plots than the main one (they were very enjoyable to read as well, but they also felt like fillers to postpone the main plot). Anyway, I loved all that happened since the moment Aelin gets into the castle with Chaol, all the sequences were amazing. I think Kaltain got her redemption and it was sooo amazing to see Manon realizing the witches don't have to be evil, I can't wait to see what they gonna do now.

I don't know how there's still plot for two more enormous books - and that extra one I think is about Chaol -, but I'm curious to know how this story will end. (hide spoiler)]

Actually I'm not enjoying reading this book. Feels boring, makes me sleepy. I really loved the 0 and 1st ones. The 2nd was ok, but the 3rd and 4th are a bit less than ok. I'm thinking... is it worth reading the next books?

Chaol: At the beginning it was great to learn that he joined the rebels. But now he is so annoying and so freaking into his own mind. Like a crazy man.
Aedion: I didn't like him much in the previous book, but here he becomes more interesting person.
Aelin: She is gorgeous, in this book I love her even more. So gorgeous, skilled and true to her ideas.
Manon: I didn't like her storyline in the previous book, but here I like her story more than the others.
Lysandra: Yeah! I felt like there should be more about her. And I really glad how it turned out.
Dorian: For now he is the only character, who keeps me reading on, because I want to find out if he could be rescued.
I'm also waiting for some major events to happen. So maybe the book wouldn't be so boring after-all.

ROWAN IS BACK YESSS!!! I will be honest, in the last book I wasn't really into this Rowan Aelin ship but WOW AM I ON THAT BOAT AND SAILING INTO THE SUNSET NOW! I ship this so hard and I can't pinpoint when this started for me but it was sudden and like a brick wall LOL.

Aedion is Gavriel's son and I high key love it because I really liked Gavriel in the last book. I NEED more of this story, please.

Nesryn is really starting to grow on me, especially because she seems to be "friends" with Aelin and Aedion haha. I love Lysandra and because I love her character I just know she's probably going to be dead by the end of this book and you just know Arobynn is going to be the one to kill her *sigh*

Manon is my queen and I cannot stress enough how much I love her and the Thirteen and Abraxos.

Missie, I am terrified that everyone I love is going to die because we love the same characters LOOOL. My heart cannot handle this but I am loving this book so much, it might go down as one of my all-time favourites and I am only halfway through this book!

Gavriel is such a great underrated character and I wish he got more love. It warms my heart to know you like him as well.

Nesryn is cool! A little spoiler here, but you'll get to know more about her in Tower of Dawn! That's what really motivated me to read that, because you know, Chaol. And Lysandra is the spicey character I didn't know I needed LOL.

Queen of Shadows is the book that really got me to love Manon, and rereading the series is only making me love her more.

My heart stopped about 3 1/2 times just in Queen of Shadows alone! I totally get your feelings right now LOL. At one point during my first time reading, I stopped halfway through because I didn't want anyone to die so I thought if I didn't read it they technically didn't die... but about a day after that thought I picked it back up again! I need more Manon and the Thirteen. I LOVE ASTERIN SO MUCH! I hate that they are on the outs right now and I need Manon to take back control and take out her grandmother. I also really need a Manon and Aelin collaboration! Like Manon is a queen but imagine Manon and the Thirteen working with Aelin *chills*

Also, is it just me or would anyone else be up for a Manon or Rowan spinoff book?? I have never been interested in spinoff books before but these are two that I would 100% read!
