So I am currently reading Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon for a challenge in another group I am part of and I am not sure why but I feel like I am struggling with the book. I was actually looking forward to reading the book after seeing the TV series. But now I find myself doing everything else but reading the book. I am not sure if it is the size of the book or what. Has anyone else read the book? Without giving away the plot, what are your thoughts on the book/series? Did anyone else struggle with it?

I have read this book and have loved it. Maybe it's because you've already watched the series, and the book is also very descriptive and written in detailed manner which might become boring if you read it continuously. I had gotten into reading slump after finishing this book(because it took me almost 10 days to finish it as it's not a very light book),so I had read something else along with second book of this series. I've read first three books, and they have been really good,so even if these books are very long, they are worth reading if you are into Historical Romance :)

It's going good..But not even a bit closer to 'Salem's Lot. Good Heavens! WHAT A SCARY BOOK THAT WAS!!!

Shining is interesting.. Dull, but its going at a good pace. I hope it'll start getting scary at least from around 50%..

Ginny Pie, guess you had a hard day. Don't u worry! Everything will be fine! I'll pray for you. :)

I am still struggling with Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon so last night I decided to take a break and started reading HAZE by Deborah Bladon . After Haze I will go back to Outlander. Maybe by doing that it will not be os hard for me to get through Outlander.
