I mean I guess worth the Air Force and the scientists and stuff it did seem a little too sci-fi for demons but they could of went a whole different route at the end I feel

Yea I agree I only read his short stories so for my first book it wasn't that bad but I do wish I read something a little more gorey & more of the style that he's known for but def not a bad read. Can't wait to read his other stuff I have a few more books from him so we'll see. If you guys still want to do a Stephen King book or another one just lmk & we can def do it again

I think the ending was great! It was the second story about the archeology team that was weird. You could almost read the book without it. I think it could've gone in different directions that would've served the book better but it seemed liked Lee rushed it and took an easy way out. Who knows! But in the end, it was a fun read and had my wheels spinning. I gave it 5 stars.

I thought the end was pretty good too. I guess I just kept expecting a little bit of the supernatural to overtake the story at the end, which never happened.

Yea I def know what you mean like I said earlier he could of def wrote more into the book & made it a little longer but since it was kind of short everything left you on the edge of your seat

Yea Friday Night At The Beast House is the 4th in the series and I think it's a novella but it's ok I know how it is I usually don't read a lot of books all at once I get too distracted 2 is probably the most lol I like to be into the book so I try to put all my attention into 1 maybe 2 if I'm doing buddy reads but yea I mean if Terry read the beast house chronicles already whenever I'm done we can do another Laymon book or Stephen King doesn't matter to me in all for it

The cellar is the only one of the beast house books that I've read so far. I'm the same also in that I couldn't really do more than 2 books at once either, and even that slows me up.

I've never read any Jack MacLane books have you guys read him before? From the looks of his covers the books look pretty creepy & could be scary.

yea don't worry i'm finishing the Beast House series too. But we got some time if its going to be in October. But def agree with you & Terry perfect for a Halloween read. I guess if I like this book i'll probably buy some more from him. There was a couple more books of his that sounded real interesting its called "Just Before Dark" & "Rest In Peace"

Yea so far I really like The Beast House series. I'm a big Laymon fan I have a lot of his books & enjoy him as a writer. I read the little descriptions of the books on GR & they seemed pretty cool.

I'm finishing up a book of his called Keepers of the Beast. It's about ancient religions and summoning demons. It's really good so far. I def have an interest in more Maclane books.
