I wonder if they even have the patents.
If not then other player will just roll out their own versions.
Either way 500 wpm will be nice.
IOS has had a similar app for over a year.

It;s mostly for reading online articles but eventually they could add book support.
I probably wouldn't use them for book reading as my mind tends to drift and it's easy to find my place if the words are not flashing past.

I found it annoying. I also don't like their pitch about "you were probably turned away from reading GoT because it's over 800 pages".
No. No I wasn't.
For me reading is a recreation. This seems to turn it into something else entirely. I know there are a ton of books out there and I'll never get to them all, but what's the rush?
For me I'd rather just curl up and read at my own pace. I'm not in a race..

There was no emotion to the tone. No sentence flow, It was just a list of words. Or in some cases just syllables. Zero enjoyment, with fiction at least.
I could see it helping for the books I'm forced to read for work, they're not always high priority or interesting. Last one could put me to sleep in 3 pages, so getting through business self help faster would be nice. "Yes boss. I'm done already, great book, couldn't put it down!"

If reading were only about the words, and words needed to all move through your mind at the same pace, this might work. All it's doing is help you skim. I love books that make me slow down.

If it works as advertised I'll probably add it to my phone.
Assuming of course they have the books I want.
