Thanks - just trying to think of positives at the moment. Luckily I've got a busy couple of weeks, both work and personal, so should be able to keep myself occupied.

Hugs for the girls who need them. Patti my ma in law managed to do for Christmas every year. I put up with it but when I came to cut the cake somehow the knife managed to to be in my hand as if I was about to stab something. I only have to do it now to make the family laugh. My daughter used to wear headphones and her Walkman at meal times.
I'll bring my iPod as well as my kindle this year. And a great many bottles of bubbles. I'll try not to grip them by the neck.
Delsey and Patti big hugs... Don't worry Patti, I don't really like Christmas. It's better now McMini has come along but I still just wish I could stay at home rather than always having to brave the roads. Also, I'm smarting a tad I've just gone arse over tip. Why are doorsteps always a) raised up and b) why do that have that stupid strip of metal that sticks up about half an inch higher than the rest of it running along the middle?
I don't have the kinds of knees that step over things, I have to step onto the raised doorstep and then off and when it rains the whole fucking time for months on end, like now, my shoe always slips on the stupid wet metal thing and I fall down.
I bent my knee a lot further than I should, I have what looks like an extra knuckle and a great big thing about the size of a tennis ball with a nice slash across it on my shin and I've broken my umbrella.
And it's still blummin raining.
Ho hum...
Had a crappy sad day today, no specific reason just down. So BIG GROUP (((((((HUGS))))))) all round.

Can I have a gold watch instead?

Yeah, bought from a man on the street outside her flat, no doubt!
((((((HUGS AND HUGS AND HUGS)))))) for all of you. Could I have one please, am trying to be cheerful but had awful week, pain and other stuff just gets a bit much sometimes and I got visitors all day so smile must be placed on and left there till they gone home at 4pm.
Massive Hug Anita, you're so good at giving them out to others :) Hope you feel better soon ((((hug))))And hugs to everyone else who wants or needs one too.
Surely Anita, big hug, you're usually so positive and cheerful. I hope 4 pm comes early today - I know that feeling. Xxx
I need to go to Thailand again to get Geoff a Bolex.Hard to be grumpy when spending time with kids.
I've had many hugs so far today. :)
Got a message that a friend of mine died of an aneurysm a couple of days ago. We worked together when I was up in Glasgow. Great guy and a good engineer. A sad loss at 43, but quick for him, I imagine. He leaves a wife and dogs behind and a half built house in Dunoon.Still processing it, to be honest.
Sorry about that geoff. I had a similar experience 22 months ago when my friend Lindsey from my online writing group died the same way, at about the same age.I think we are still processing it now, to be honest.
Tough, Geoff. the youngest of the friends from the school I worked at - she came to us straight from university, died this March aged 49. all us oldies couldn't believe it. Should have been us...
