This book is called Falling for you by Lisa Schroeder, more famous for her book "I heart you, You haunt me." The basic plot of the book is; There is a girl named Rae, who is the main character. She has never had a boyfriend and tries to open up more by dating the new guy, Nathan. He turns out to start needing her love and affection but it just gets too much for her so she left him. She opened up to write about her problems through poetry. She wrote about how she doesn't think people care for her and her problems with Nathan and at home. She also turns to her other guy friend, Leo, who works at the coffee shop next to her work. They started to hang out more and Nathan get jealous and starts to watch her. While all this drama is going on, at home she is having her own issues with her abusive step dad. Rae hangs out with Leo more and they begin to fall for each other. When Rae is with Leo its like the drama fades away. In the end a terrible mishap happens that shows how much people really care about Rae.
Going into Falling for You, I knew I was in for an emotional ride. I'd glanced at enough reviews to know that Falling for You deals with an abusive relationship. What I didn't know was how much deeper this book is, how many wonderful ways that Schroeder's novel sets itself apart. Though this book is sad and deals with painful subjects honestly, Falling for You is ultimately a tale of hope and inspiration.
I would deffinitley suggest this book to people who like books about love and a little tiny bit of mystery. I would suggest it because, once i started reading i could not put the book down. Very good!
