Sorry for any confusion. Pick from the link in the Pairs thread for the person you are picking for, whether it is the original pair or not. I hope this helps.

Cori Dyson | 7 comments Jane, thank you! I will read it this month. I'm looking forward to it.

Eve, sorry for any confusion, earlier in discussion thread Leigh told me to pick for you since no one had, so I picked Wuthering Heights for you.

H.M. Flath (goodreadscomharryflath) | 47 comments I have finished reading The Letters (Inn at Eagle Hill #1) by Suzanne Woods Fisher. I was paired with Heather but Nita made the selection.
Thank you for doing the pic, Nita. It is great to do this as it gives a person the push to read a particular book. In addition I learned a few things about the Amish way of life.

Christine , I have finished Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver . Really enjoyed it! The only problem I had was the switching POV made it hard to follow at times. Thank you for the pick.

message 181: by Yawatta (new)

Yawatta Hosby (agathachristiefan) My book was My Soul To Take by Rachel Vincent. Here's my review:

I loved this book about grim reapers and bean sidhes. I thought it'd be more horror, but I was wrong. I wasn't disappointed though since I thought the budding relationship between Kaylee and Nash was cute. Appreciating the mystery, I kept trying to guess why would anyone want to kill young girls not on the death list.

The author was good with setting and dialogue. The conversations, especially learning more of Kaylee's backstory, we're interesting. The scenes with Tod were funny. Even though I rooted for Kaylee and Nash, I could also see Tod having a chance to steal her away. He was quite charming. I cried when she had her heart-to-heart conversation with her dad in the kitchen. The scene was very emotional.

I respected Kaylee as a hero. I liked that she questioned everything. Something I'd do. Plus, she was proactive in helping others and trying to solve the mystery instead of waiting on men to give her orders.

"Gaze" was used throughout the book a lot. After awhile, the word became a distraction. I liked everyone, except the aunt and the cousin. How they treated Kaylee made me feel sorry for her.

My favorite lines: 1) "Grim reaper integrity...?" 2) "Great. Morbid and accurate. Sounds like the sales pitch for a county-fair fortune-teller..."

I RECOMMEND this book to read.
