I finally last year started to read their books: Dekker and Peretti but not the ones you mentioned.
So you feel it is too violent? I read one that did make me actually close my eyes. But honestly, there are as many believers watching horror flicks than secular unbelievers. So now we want to critique it in the writing. Yet I do know that we face both good and evil, some will write about evil to let you know it is real, as real as good in order to glorify GOD. Our main focus as believers is to glorify God, right? So now I am either have to read this book before judging or critiquing it but ultimately is he bringing people more to Christ with violent scenes or less.
