Chapter 7, (view spoiler)

Oh, and Sarah did we have something organised for the 13th - or just Being Hartley on the 14th?? :) Sorry I am all out of sorts at the moment. :)
I think it was just being hartley on the 14th. Hope you're feeling better soon! being ill sucks :(

ha ha! I would have been so pleased to miss sports day! Hopefully you'll at least manage to read instead.

I just finished the book, by the way. Sarah, regarding the epilogue (view spoiler)

Aha that part made me laugh! Completely random but funny.

And you ..."
Ugh...I didn't like characters names in this book either. They are too made-up. It feels like the author wants her characters have cool name but since I never heard it before, it makes me hard to connect with them.

They are really, really stupid names! Booker!? How the heck did she come up with that. But Braxston isn't that uncommon of a name.
I am a little mad that she seems to have copied that element out of H&A. Is this author Australian? :)

Yeah...Braxston isn't that unusual but other characters names are quite weird for me (River Pearl, Verity and Aubree instead of Aubrey?).
What's H&A?

Home & Away. A really popular Australian TV show. The main characters are three "bad boys" (one of them named Braxston) that sound exactly like these three brothers.

I don't like it either! Unfortunately most of YA and NA books nowadays have unusual names.
Just check on the author profile, she's from USA but you might be right if it has a lot of similarity.
It's time for you to read another book that isn't on your Kindle, then. I once force reading from my eReader while it was charged and then it needed more time, more than usual, to charge and not long after that. It was error! So you better keep it recharge now and leave it alone :)

Hmm maybe its just coincidence.
Yeah, my kindle hates it when I read and charge at the same time so its on the kitchen bench charging at the moment while I get up to date with old reviews that need to be written. :)

Perfection? are you kidding me? I thought Bliss only exist in Cora Carmack book, Losing It, never thought that another character from another book will have it too :D Aside Bliss, I also got Fable, Rush, Rule, Pepper (but I think this name isn't that weird since I find it in another character in different book) and I forgot what other unusual names I've read. I forgot them easily :D
Ah...so it's time for you to write those abandon reviews, then :D

Yep. Sigh. There are so many I need to catch up... :(

I haven't read The Selection by Kierra Cass and (might be) never will because of the main character name is America Singer (who actually can sing! go figure).

Oh my god! Really!? Okay. That there is the stupidest name I have ever heard, ever. Wow, that's bad!!
I've only heard of 'Booker' as a surname, not a first name. A book that Abbie and I were reading the other day had the main character whose name was 'Tandoori' - now that is ridiculous. Who would name their child that? Then of course there's Teardrop, whose main characters names are Eureka and Ander, and the Black Dagger Brotherhood series whose characters are named Wrath, Vishous, Rhage, Zsadist, Phury, and... Darius. I mean really?
I'm sticking up for the selection, America is a real name, the girl who plays 'Ugly Betty' in the TV show is called America too. And the surnames are given based on profession/caste, so as a singer, her surname would be singer.

Oh, yeah...I forgot about Black Dagger Brotherhood series. But I sometimes can ignore the "unique" name in fantasy or paranormal books. I don't know, maybe it's because it's fantasy after all, the world building and all are beyond our real life, unlike contemporary.
I've always liked the weird names but some of them are pushing it. I'm reading
, the girl on the cover is called 'Mei Xing', which of course sounds remarkably similar to 'amazing'

Is she Chinese or has Chinese ancestral? In Chinese Mei means beautiful.
She's American/Chinese (and the book is historical~ish/steampunk), there's nothing wrong with 'Mei', it's the way that the other characters run the two names together all the time. they rarely call her 'mei', its always 'mei-xing'

As far as I know, Chinese (and also Korean) names are mostly consist of 3 names, first name is their surname name and the other two are their first name (there are two ways written their first name, it's either mei-xing or meixing. Just like Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, Zhang is her surname while Ziyi is her first name. Actually if it's written in Chinese word it consist of 2 names/words, Zi and Yi). I think there's nothing wrong with the way other characters called her mei-xing :)
I have no idea, you obviously know more about it than me ☺ It wouldn't even have occured to me that it sounded like amazing, but the characters in the book complain about it.

Hehehe, I once learn Chinese language. It's one of the hardest language I've ever learn. And the writing gave me headache most of the time. One letter consists of one word in Chinese but I love learning it. Each word has meaning, so it isn't just word.

I know what you did last summer.
Aubree Walker, the perfect girl most likely to succeed, is sure there’s only one person who knows what she did.
Booker Outlaw, one of the three Outlaw brothers—all identical, all gorgeous, all from the wrong side of the tracks, and all pure bad boys. He was always the unpredictable one, the one who would be brash enough to make it big self-publishing horror novels on the internet. He promised never to tell, but everyone knows you can never trust an Outlaw.
Then a year later, in the middle of the night, she receives a phone call at Tulane. Her aunt, who took her in after her mother’s death, is in a coma under suspicious circumstances. Now she has to face that one person who knows all about what she did that summer—sexy Booker.
Returning to Hope Parish to be with her aunt, stirs up all those ugly memories. When Aubree starts getting threats, she can’t help but wonder if what she did last summer was tied to her aunt’s “accident.” Afraid, she turns to the only person who knows the truth and Booker doesn’t hesitate to offer his broad shoulder for her to lean on. But Booker has a secret of his own that could crush their fledgling relationship.
As the hot, sultry summer days move on, she finds that even a perfectly smart girl can lose her heart to a perfectly bad boy. What is she going to do when someone starts asking questions Aubree doesn’t want to answer? She’s knee deep into a terribly dangerous, wholly life changing, who-can-she-really-depend-on perfect mess.
