The "magic" is inside the domes and keeps the city running (view spoiler)[ Humans turn into monsters outside the cities unless they find a pocket of magic. One girl runs away outside the city but doesn't turn into a monster because she has the magic inside her. The city leaders chase her because it was the magic in her that kept the city running. I read the first book and the second one was supposed to release in Oct of 2013. But I can't remember the title or the author. If anyone can point in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!
